What is too many?--GnomeDrool
Really? When is too often?
Once a year on twenty-five December or each day we spend here?
Every day should be Christmas, it's said.
Christmas spirit. Not Christmas present, not Christmas future, but Christmas in everyday life.
Over the hills and through the woods to Gnome-mother-in-laws and it's all good
Philosophy, philadelphic cheese, and a certain amount of uxoriousness will get you through.
Enjoy your turkey farts. Savor them like a Millis joke.

hey there say, mouse... just dropped by to say hey there...
wow, say, when we were kids, we did read sherlock holmes... my friend
down the street, shared her books with me...
and, i remember, when i was up one night, that the
HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES came on--matching the title of the book,
and i was so surprised to see it...
THAT was when i first learned that many books were made into movies...
i know, i know, was naive, took me a while to learn that, :))
say, i may try one night, to see that one about the hounds,...
not sure yet, but just might...
thanks for sharing, my friend still likes to read, too, to this day,
though, she does like movies, just as much... :)

I think it was on Sous le Toit Ledge that Ross and I bivouacked.
Or maybe it was on The Block.
It was a lousy place, legs dangling over the edge, slipping downwards, scooting back into place all night long.
But at least it stayed attached to the Big Stone.

Thanks for posting that heads up mousie. I had come to think of lava as just another word for soap.
Remember that guy "Soapy Sails"?
Appropriate pause ...
Ha got ya. Dude never existed. Neither did puff Diddley for that matter. Just another group of made up stories by stoners like the one about how rich everybody got from some foul smelling lawn clippings. I bet not one of those guys even owned a mower.

Hey, Mary Christmas, FWIW.
I bought wine, you dolt! Not liquor.
So I get all wound up in wine.
And in blue, I'll admit.
And I was standin' on the side of the road
Rain fallin' on my shoes
Heading out for the east coast (Jersey)
Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin' through
Tangled up in blue
Blue wine and red, red roses for days.

I'm sitting here wondering about neebee's new artwork video.
Why only on Facebook?
Why not here?
Why not in the Art Thread With Images?
Pray, tell, grandmother dear, why not post it on ST for those who "don't do Facebook?"
She's not only a painter, we all know that, right?...Right?

And a real toughie, as a bonus.
Is this a dove or a pigeon, if it is either?
Happy holidays!

hey there, say, mouse... wonderful birds, here...
love the crows, too... just don't like them in the yard eating up the 'little birds' bird food, but they are great fun to see them in the nearby larger trees, calling about, to each other...
say, was going to post the art video, later, i had to go to sleep, :O
had been up all night and most of the day...
:)
was also babysitting, at one point...
am slept up now, so am getting ready to share it...
it is only missing two paintings, and missing the one 'without stars' on the face--of peter brown... had a copy somewhere, but can't find it...
so it is three paintings short, :)
as to a true collection, :)
by the time i had the next ten, though, oh my, i will have to make it
into TWO video-shares...
also, really like the photos:
morning trees, in color...
and then, with the night silhouette...
also:
the crows almost look like they are on a pink-blossomed tree?
if not, well, that would look very nice, to see that in real life,
by just walking past... there is a really neat pink blossomed tree,
in the old neighborhood...
got to go paint now... :)
and sort out christmas cards, :)

Clocks & Spoons by John Prine.
Clocks and spoons and empty rooms, it's raining out tonight
What a way to end a day by turnin' out the light
Shoot the moon right between the eyes
I'm sending most of me to sunny countryside
Runnin' through sky of blue, rollin' in the sun
Every day has a way of overflowing wine
Shoot the moon right between the eyes
I'm keeping most of me in sunny countryside
Don't know how I did that now, wonder where it's gone
Must have spent the way I went waitin' for the dawn
Shoot the moon right between the eyes
I'm screaming, "Take me back to sunny countryside"
Shoot the moon right between the eyes
I'm screaming, "Take me back to sunny countryside"
Clocks and spoons and empty rooms, it's raining out tonight
