Cast of characters. I guess Jewish kids didn't wear hats all that much.
Herzl Camp, 1957. From left to right: Larry Keegan, Jerry Waldman, Robert Zimmerman (AKA Bob Dylan), Louis Kemp, David Unowsky.
David Unknownski? The two on the far left are are Frank E. Lee and Terry the Toad from American Grafitti via Merced.
'Scuse me while I whip this out
After he did, he and Keegan were escorted to jail.

We got out of town, but not before actually deciding on an itinerary for our drive: Go to the Catheys Valley cemetery on Hornitos Rd., visit respectfully, possibly contemplating death and finality and life's banality, the weather (it was damp), or maybe we might share some stories about this and that.
I told Jeff about my talk on the phone with the Jones boy. That was productive.
And we did this when? AFTER we'd gotten gas in CV and decided to go the other direction from the cemetery. South, not north. And so we ended up going through Bridgeport, eventually, and then into Mariposa on 49 and out the other side going to Hornitos and Merced Falls
This was the second time in eight days for me in Merced Falls, because I had gone there with Flip Flop to visit Mike's place. This time I made sure to take a photo of the front of the IOOF Hall in Snelling.
I'm giving these bass fishermen the benefit of the doubt and tell myself they are flyfishing and not tossing mini-robots and crank-baits and worms and frogs and baby mice. Bass eat practically anything except souls.

A Pyramid of the Sierras
From most places in our yard
We have a view of the Sierras
It's part of why we moved here
Our modest plot leans southeast
From atop a sloping ridge
Tilting towards the Yosemite
The view is of the northern range
Looking from east of Sloughhouse
To north of Desolation
Down to the Mokulumnes
This place we've made our home
Is where once the Miwok lived
Then the Mexican rancheros came
Then after the forty niners
Came the settlers and the ranchers
For awhile it was cattle land
Some old rancher bought this house new
After he retired around 1970
Then we bought it from his widow
When she went to the care facility
After all those years it's fairly used
There are stones in the front driveway
From the original Sloughhouse Inn
When it was a Pony Express stop
On the Carson Trail
And roses grown from stock
Transplanted here from that same place
Before it burned and was rebuilt
And on last Saturday
For the thirteenth time
In the thirteen years we've lived here
I mowed down all the high grass
In the field below
On my trusty seventy five year old 9N
For fire control
And someday maybe
I'd like to get some goats instead
But haven't made the transition
From gardener to goat herder
But I'm catching the skunks
And watching all the cottontails
Eat all my favorite flowers
So we try to take things easy
At our place on the side of a gentle ridge
Within sight of an earthly paradise
Across the eastern horizon
And knowing it's only on borrowed time
We're still relishing our view
In the meantime

Duly noted.
They say that a few hours of Shuteye are more efficacious than a whole week at Red Rocks or a month at New Jack.
"The prisoner will rise. I hereby sentence you to six weeks at New Jack City Reform & Leadership Institute." (It was formerly known as the Yosemite Institute, but the name was owned and so they had to change it; and then they thought, "Heck, why not just move anyway? Ta heck with Aramark's trademark. Not gonna take it anymore!")
Branded, just like Chuck Connors.
And cock-a-doodle-wanna-a-cracker, world!
But heck, what concern is it of yours, Dwain?
"F*#k you, one-eye!"

Life is very short, like a ride in the country.
No time for fussing and fighting. We can work it out.
Black and white, using the saturation function in editing, sure can save lots of horrible shots, y'know? It's not sure-fire and others KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING, like TTR, who probably is in a bar showing photographs of his big brookie.

Da Brim Lite™© Got my patent and trademark on the product, still arguing about the name. Stay tuned in, turned on and dropped out.
But wait order now and get two for price O one. It is unisex after all. In an emergency, and I do stress emergency, can function as toilet seat cover. It all depends on how astigmatic you head is. Which head? Exercise left to the reader. And yes, Lonnie Mack did use them.
OT: Has anyone ever had a spider egg omellete with peanut butter toast?

I'm still trying to fathom the depths, from the legacy

All Rock In the riffs of Lonnie Mack. . .I don't think the artist knew that it was a real Icon rather than just the representation of an Icon.

The AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL
This is not a commercial for, nor endorsement of, the Alcon Surgical Corp.
It just shows that just like in flying, you as an adventurer have choices and if you don't know about something, then how can you choose it, eh?

It might be poetic to say this is the SANTA FE, but it's not.
It used to be the Central Pacific, then the Southern Pacific; but one wonders, "What is it now?"
Short Line Answer:
It was absorbed in 1988 by the company that controlled the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad and eight years later became part of the Union Pacific Railroad.
I arrived in Merced the first time on board the SP Daylight from Sacto.
I Met an New Sunrise Today
No room for sun ruses.
Lying only confuses.
Just axe sage Confucious.
Or Bunyan or Lucius.
(Or Cassius.)
She was an old flame.
Aurora is her name.
Daybreak is her game.
A voluptuous dame.
I saw her today
Like I do every day
It's a game that I play
I'm her fool you might say
She's faithless, untrue
Says each night "We're through"
It makes me so blue
And down comes the dew
I awake with a yawn
And a new gal named Dawn
Aurora? She's gone
Just Fickle Fate's pawn
You'd need pate pro today up here.
In spite of the clouds at daybreak,
it's bright as heck here and I can't take it anymore
so I wear a ball cap with a brim, but not da Brim.
This is not necessarily an endorsement of Chilo's Chili, and denial of blindness is like the cataracts on the Denial-Denali Canal.
Or so I am told. I don't make this stuff up.
Truth must be served, though.
While this is not an endorsement for Chilo's Chili,
IT IS, nonetheless, an endorsement for
CHILO'S CHILE. It's an entirely different thing entirely.

The Man with Ten Egos
Or
The Ballad of enter Name here _.
The man with ten egos
He married ten wives
Who each had ten children
Who carried ten knives
The children grew up
They had miserable lives
And hated their father
Who gave them the hives
Wagging his ego
Wherever ego
Whatever he said next
Nobody would know
His children ganged up
And they found him at home
They cut out his egos
And left him alone
He escaped with his life
But no woman would stay
They preferred men with egos
And went on their way
For the man with ten egos
Once put on a show
He once batted a thousand
Wherever ego
