When I was much younger I was attracted to the myth of "progress": the idea that science, technology and evolving institutions were taking mankind to a better place. But now that I'm old and cynical, the future, to me. looks more like "Blade Runner" than "Star Trek". Anyways, I was really impressed by the stoke of this young scientist. Who knows where the future will lead?

Didn't watch the Quarryman vid but that 11d grade caught my eye. Looks like the youtube poster missed the boat on those funky island grades when they saw the code word: E8 7a (which I think means: climb weird 5.13 successfully or you'll probably die).

nice to see that nothing went wrong...
the 'mom' part me of wonders sometimes, :O
as to, well, a slipped foot, or, any of the this-or-thats... :O
say, i reckon he need to have a neat FOLD UP rope ladder in his pocket,
to to FASTEN on and climb on down... :))
