One thing you have to admire about President Trump is how he's always looking out for the little guy.

It’s practically a dictionary definition to say that banks provide financial services. But when it comes to the new tax law, that’s not how the Treasury Department sees it.

Officials there have decided that nearly 2,000 banks are not financial services firms and therefore their owners qualify for a lower tax liability under the $1.5-trillion Republican tax-cut legislation that took effect Jan. 1.

The determination, sought by the banking industry, was one of dozens in 184 pages of proposed regulations issued this week by the Treasury’s Internal Revenue Service that will allow high-income owners to claim a new tax deduction as part of an expansive interpretation of who gets the break designed for so-called pass-through businesses.

...“Most of us had thought that banks are financial services. The House Financial Services Committee regulates banks. The Financial Services Roundtable represents banks,” he said.

“It does lead to a bad headline for Treasury and the IRS,” he said. “This so-called middle class tax break goes to those who own banks.”

Diehard Republicans like Fritz will no doubt be applauding this helping hand being extended to the banks. The winning just doesn't stop.

According to Ontario Climbing, you trumpies are a bunch of deadbeat milkman, cosmic in particular gets singled out for a mention....
to whit

"Deadbeat Milkman - The Milkman is the guy that always delivers. Just ask your mom. A Deadbeat Milkman, however, is a guy who never delivers. Either he regularly botches the crux, talks sh#t and can't live up to the spray, or forgets to bring the hammock to the crag.
Usage: "Wow, Dwain was talking about some sick new project. He sounds like one seriously hardcore climber!" "No, the dude's a Deadbeat Milkman. I can't even remember the last time he sent."

Look at Frostback. Sprayin' the latest lingo... from Ontario Climbing, no less.

Woke?

Trump's tariff on Canadian newsprint has given him an added benefit: destruction of print media companies.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/09/us/politics/newsprint-tariffs-newspapers-trump.html

Trump desperately wants to destroy all media news organizations (Fox and InfoWars are not news organizations) to conceal his nefarious and diabolical activities from the public. By making newspapers too expensive to print, Trump has won a minor victory in his battle for reality.

Trump's revocation of Net Neutrality rules is another tactic he is using to destroy legitimate information sources in the United States, so that he can establish and control a self-serving propaganda service, like an American version of Pravda.

Trump is a madman who must be stopped.

Despite the best efforts of some posters to keep this thread worthy of SuperTopo, those with a 3rd grade attitude, have turned it into an insult-fest.

I'm sorry for the Trumpian 3rd graders posting here, & their spews, but those folks are his base.

Private or public, if someone violates the law, they should not be exempt from investigation and prosecution just because they are family.

Trump is good for the economy - if you're an insider.

The next big scandal to hit the Trump Administration will be how Wilbur Ross has personally profited from selective exemptions from steel and aluminum tariffs.

http://thehill.com/homenews/media/391646-fox-news-host-calls-out-wilbur-ross-over-conflicts-of-interest-on-investments

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/25/us-exempts-south-korea-from-steel-tariffs.html

Wilbur Ross has a direct and conflicted interest in steel being imported from South Korea, which he and Trump have exempted from tariffs.

Trump has doubled the tariff on Turkish steel and aluminum, to 50% and 20%, respectively.

Trump's original justification for his tariffs on metals was a claim of a national security threat. Wilbur Ross was the first to propose this.

Trump's motive for doubling the Turkish tariffs is ostensibly the continued detention of an American pastor who was supposedly involved in a failed coup in Turkey. It is difficult to imagine how the pastor's detention is a national security threat.

More likely, currency speculators associated with Trump are profiting from the drop in the value of the Turkish Lira.

We are witnessing insider trading on a global scale.

Ground Chuck: is it any wonder that the rumpster has not one meaningful relationship with anyone on earth but himself.

Ha ha.

I’ll bet that could be said for many men. It could have been said of me 20 years ago.

If the indication of immaturity being referred to here is a sense of surety about what’s what, then the majority of posters here would qualify. Intimacy is not usually a man’s quality until he gets old and humbled (and then . . . ).

Haha, most everybody in Washington DC has a conflict of interest.

The recent insider trading bust on that republican is the tip of the iceberg.
From the elected officials themselves to the businessmen husbands of too many elected women in congress.
The more power concentrated in DC, the more corruption...it really is a swamp full of psychopaths...scientifically corroborated.

Speaking of psychopaths!

Former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman claims in a new book that there are tapes of President Donald Trump using racial slurs and that she saw him behaving “like a dog off the leash” at numerous events he attended without his wife, first lady Melania Trump.

The accusations are among a long list of scandalous claims contained in her new book, “Unhinged,” set to come out Aug. 14. The Associated Press purchased an early copy of the memoir, which the White House has already slammed as “riddled with lies and false accusations.”

In the book, Manigault Newman, who was a contestant on Trump’s “The Apprentice” reality show and later served as a senior adviser to the president, hurls a litany of allegations, painting the president as scattered, self-absorbed, misogynistic and insecure.

Trump, she said she’d concluded after years of defending him, was a bigot.

Throughout the book, Manigault Newman paints a deeply critical portrait of the president, describing him as a man who “loved conflict, chaos and confusion; he loved seeing people argue or fight.” She says she had seen him acting inappropriately at numerous events he attended without his wife at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, including birthday parties, fundraisers and golf tournaments.

She also alleges that Trump has exhibited signs of a “mental decline that could not be denied” and says she went as far as printing out a study linking Diet Coke consumption to dementia and strokes and putting it in his briefing stack.

The main issue here is that Trump became president with the assistance of a foreign, hostile government. And, now that he's Center Stage, all his previous activity is about to be opened up, for the world to see.

Yes, you keep saying this over and over and over.

Waiting.

And what's more, you're all saying it to each other and hearing it from all the people you know.

Waiting.

So it must be true!

Since damn near most Murricans don’t vote then what’s the difference?
