Well, we are making some ground.
We have gotten some here on this thread to go from complete denial that anything is really happening, and claiming that people who think so are bat-poop crazy and on hallucinogenics, to finally admitting and claiming that the phenomenon that are witnessed and observed (all around the World) that are seen flying in formations, landing, and taking off, zipping around and manuevering faster and at impossible changes in directions and speeds (incredible examples of acceleration), and then dissappearing, all of which are all beyond our modern aeronautical capabilities, are all really only unusual natural occurences of the fourth state of matter -- plasma.
Well, we're getting there. At glacial speeds.
It is hard to move mountains of denial. More later.

More from the UK . . .
There is a tonne of stuff to look through.
Newly released UFO files from the UK government
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ufos/
Previous file releases: The National Archives holds other UFO files that have already been released by the Ministry of Defence. You can download these in PDF format for a small fee. The files contain details of numerous UFO sightings. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ufos/existing-files.htm
Dr David Clarke, an expert in UFO history, guides us through the highlights of the newly released UFO files.
Watch the short video. Interesting. Most of the UFOs can be explained, but some cannot, and some indeed left physical evidence.
“What does all this stuff about flying saucers amount to? What can it mean? What is the truth?”
Sir Winston Churchill - July 1952 (Catalogue reference PREM 11/855)
An excerpt from the UFO Files: The Inside Story of Real-life Sightings, a book by Dr. David Clarke published by the UK National Archives . . . looks like a very interesting read, check it out . . .
http://filestore.nationalarchives.gov.uk/pdfs/the-ufo-files-extract.pdf
You have to admit the UK Government is much more open about the UFO/Alien phenomenon than the US Government is. That is the absolute truth. I would like to see the same honesty here in the US by our Government. But like I said before, they have been lying for so long, I don't think they know how to tell the truth anymore. Pathological lying is kinda that way. It is a real institutionalized illness suffered by our Government.
Edit:
I didn't realize I got post 777. Perfect. Thanks for pointing that out.
GOD must have smiled. :-))

Klimmer, your line is:
"ok, let's call it a draw"
Rokjox... choosing to be a contrarian doesn't make you right... it does make you crusty...
there is no evidence that this phenomena is anything but natural, though not completely explained. The working hypothesis has the value that it is within the realm of what we understand about nature.
ET/UFO exceeds by a great deal what we understand to be the correct description of nature... I agree we don't know it all... but I we know enough.

And yet, you deniers have no more evidence to shore up your opinions of my crankedness than Klimmer does to support odd flying craft. Actually quite a bit less.
The burden of proof is on those who make the claims, not anyone else. Again, this this shows your lack of formal science education.

RJ: Hate to tell you, but most of the calls made by passengers on the four planes on September 11th, 2001, were made from seat-telephones. Which are designed to make air to ground calls. No need to fuss about whether or not cell phones would have worked from the plane's locations, elevations, and speeds.

Weld_it,
Thanks for all those UFO/Alien/Space past ST thread bumps. I should, or someone should try to link all past threads to this thread just for archival reasons. Good stuff.
Hey, and even Largo and WoodySt got into it!
Great images by Ouch! Sure miss his humor here on ST. I should grab some of his Alien artwork and post it here too.

I will let Ed come and correct my thinking, but the superluminal speeds within the inflationary period of time within the Big Bang refers to the inflation of Space. Since no information was transmitted between this Space, Special Relativity and General Relativity were not violated.
Even now we have objects within our Universe (distant galaxies) that seperate at speeds greater than light, but again this is the expansion of Space at Speeds greater than light, again no information transmitted.
OK, my head hurts now.

Back on Topic
What this thread is all about: possible ideas!
I brought up the possible Spacecraft on the Moon, because if it is an intelligently designed spacecraft (and not a massive rock - very unlikely), then it isn't ours and it isn't any other Nation's from here on Earth, then it is ET/Alien, or from a distant very intelligent people here on Earth that are now hidden within our past.
Do I know? No. Do I suspect? Yes. Do I throw out outlandish hypotheses? Yes, but they are not unique. I did not first come up with these ideas. Someone else did. I'm just speculating myself.
Why bring in the modern UFO/Alien/ET question? Because it is relevant. If they are here now, and countries around the World are now brave enough to disclose this truth slowly, (except for lying our butts off good ol USA), then that adds to the possibility (increases the odds) that some Alien craft is hidding on the backside of the Moon. And vise-versa. If there is an alien craft on the backside of the Moon, and it looks to be as though it has been there for millions of years due to the impact crater scarring, then they have been here through out of our history, perhaps influencing mankind in countless ways and they are still here.
It is all connected. It is all relevant. That is why it can all be discussed and should be.
All you have to do is just prove one case openly and publically without a shadow of a doubt and game over. I think we are very close to doing that regardless of governments keeping their mouths shut, and hidding the evidence to the best of their ability. Disclosure is happening. It has happened. Now all we need is the physical empirical proof within our hands, and even skeptics like ED et al., will come to know.
Another topic mentioned:
Do you need to have a PhD to do science? No. Does it help? Of course. It gives you excellent training and credibility. However, someone well read who knows the scientific method and tackles a problem, makes an observation about the natural world around them, and that they want to know more about, comes up with a hypothesis and puts it to the test in attempt to invalidate it through the scientific method can also contribute to our scientific knowledge base.
It takes dicoverers to make discoveries, and doing science and making scientific discoveries is not a crime. Anyone can contribute if they follow the scientific method, the correct procedures, properly and carefully. You do not need a PhD to do so.
Case in point, a story most of us climbers are all very familiar with:
John Muir (no PhD) discovered that the Sierra Nevada Mountains were shaped mostly by glaciers along with Yosemite Valley, and not catastrophic faulting proposed by PhD Joshua Whitney.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Muir
Pursuit of his love of science, especially geology, often occupied his free time. Muir soon became convinced that glaciers had sculpted many of the features of the valley and surrounding area. This notion was in stark contradiction to the accepted contemporary theory, promulgated by Josiah Whitney (head of the California Geological Survey), which attributed the formation of the valley to a catastrophic earthquake. As Muir's ideas spread, Whitney would try to discredit Muir by branding him as an amateur. But Louis Agassiz, the premier geologist of the day, saw merit in Muir's ideas, and lauded him as "the first man I have ever found who has any adequate conception of glacial action."[19]
In 1871, Muir discovered an active alpine glacier below Merced Peak, which helped his theories gain acceptance. He was a highly productive writer and had many of his accounts and papers published as far away as New York. Muir's former professor at the University of Wisconsin, Ezra Carr, and his wife Jeanne, encouraged Muir to put his ideas into print. They also introduced Muir to notables such as Emerson, as well as leading scientists such as Louis Agassiz, John Tyndall, John Torrey, Clinton Hart Merriam, and Joseph LeConte.[citation needed]
A large earthquake centered near Lone Pine, California in Owens Valley (see 1872 Lone Pine earthquake) strongly shook occupants of Yosemite Valley in March 1872. The quake woke Muir in the early morning and he ran out of his cabin "both glad and frightened," exclaiming, "A noble earthquake!" Other valley settlers, who believed Whitney's ideas, feared that the quake was a prelude to a cataclysmic deepening of the valley. Muir had no such fear and promptly made a moonlit survey of new talus piles created by earthquake-triggered rockslides. This event led more people to believe in Muir's ideas about the formation of the valley.[citation needed]
Another topic: Global Warming (but it really shouldn't be discussed on this thread), there is however another thread that it should be discussed on . . .
Now back on topic -- Alien Spacecraft on the Moon?, UFOs, Aliens, ET etc. Stop the personal attacks.
