I guess we're about to see whether the Swiss defense is as suspect as alleged.

I see that some morons are protesting FIFA's appointing of an Algerian ref for the USA match
because he speaks French! Are you phukking kidding me? I'll be outraged if he proves
incompetent but as I recall he was quite decent in his previous match.

I am quite at a loss, hard as that may to believe, about this game's outcome but I guess I'll go
out on a limb and say that Messi will come through again. I am surprised to see Higuain back
in the lineup as he was less than underwhelming last game.

Went down to a local place to have a beer and some lunch and watch the afternoon game on Sunday. Ended up having a long conversation with this super knowledgeable and nice guy. Turned out to be Seamus Malin!

While I didn't see the Germany match yesterday the quality of this Argentina and Swiss match is so much better than the last few IMHO. Great half so far though these keepers are getting a bit lucky along with their saves....
Matter of time before we see one or the other score.

Delhi, did you miss France/Nigeria? It was superb end to end play, admittedly short on good
finishing, with precious little diving or cheap shots. It was righteous! Really a pity that the
Nigerians faded in the last ten minutes.

Again, not much from Higuain. I think they need someone more mobile, not that he has
received many quality passes., but he has not made space for himself.

Actually I think it was Klinsmann that started that. So not entirely a moron. More in the mode of trying to play mind games with the ref like Fergie or Mourinho.

The swiss defense is ticking like a Rolex but their offense is a cheap Chinese knockoff.
But so is the Argentines'.

I do like the Swiss chances in a shootout with their keeper.

The Brasilian fans are sure behind the Swiss! (No surprise)

I wanted the shootouts, but I like di Maria and happy for him. Craziest Cup!
