Not around here much anymore, but I follow Blitzo and all the other terrific people here on the taco. And I'm in touch via email.
Still, I want to publicly state how thankful I am for all of you and the care he's getting. I am very happy that Locker is with him too. Thanks to all and continued vibes to Blitzo.

Hey everybody. I've followed this thread a bit and feel for what this dude is going through. I have a question though. Who is Blitzo? So many of you are close to him obviously, but to many of us he's a stranger with a funny avatar "Blitzo."
Would any of you like to put some skin on this man for us. What's his real name? Why is he special? Was he a big name climber at one point or just a punter a bunch of you like to hang out with? Why do so many if you think he's "the man?" What has he climbed? When? How? Give us some beta on the guy. Tell us some stories....some history....i dunno, I'm just intrigued by so many people investing in him and I hope things take a turn for the better soon. I'll touch base with this thread to check in on the guy and learn more about him. Thanks!

Why do so many if you think he's "the man?"
Not sure if anyone thinks that... but we know he is The Mack!
Nutshell: right place right time photographer for many FA's with the big numbers back in the day. Might have been Bill Price's personal photographer for things like the Phoenix, Grand Illusion etc. Ran the photo lab at Caesars Palace and once had a naked George Burns sit on his lap at a photo shoot. Has climbed El Cap. Was the guy with the most points on Mountain Project for a long time... thousands of photos on there of all sorts of stuff from historical climbing images to tortoise faces. Best dog sitter that Susan and I have ever had. Animals love him cuz he smells like snacks... The nickname Blitzo has been in use so long, that is his real name now, like Cher or Madonna. Loves beer and has reviewed hundreds of them online and is a swilling expert. Not into wine. Probably partied with Ken Kesey, Jerry, Hoffman, Ousley and the rest.
And that is just the tip of the Bloot-berg

Ha! Thanks Russ. That's awesome. Keep em coming yall. Sounds like he'd dig you guys chatting up his stronger, funnier days for us who've never met him. I'll for sure check out some of his work behind the lens. Or yall could pidt more of here on this thread to keep it alive.
