I'm stopping at "hottest". Man, ya just gotta love a girl in a smokin' hot toque. {sigh} It must be a Hoser thing, eh?
Great to see your steady improvement, Big Mike. Keep up the good work!

that's a nice ring-type-thing
she's wearing on her,
uh, wedding finger.
do you guys in canada have that same
cultural tradition?
the one wear pinky's neighbor on the left hand
is reserved as a communication medium of structured commitment?
you too big to put on the spot.
i think i just put you on a three-dimensional plane.
oh wait,
maybe some of that wadded up tinfoil
mistakenly got wrapped around her finger.
when i proposed to my wife
i was laying in a stranger's bed,
with her,
and i ratted thru their bedside drawers
and found a stick of gum.
so i freshened my breath
and proposed as i encircled her above referenced finger
with the chrome gum wrapper.
true as shite, i swear.
she said yes.
though she might regret that emotional wobble that
that tightened the knot entangling us.

Yee ha! Dude, a bold, endurance lead with multiple cruxes, but you are cruising this pitch!! Showed my family this thread -- so many folks rooting for your every step (literally) toward recovery and, ultimately, an even bigger and badder Mike.

Great to grow up with good friends and create many great memories to reminisce about in the older years. Really awesome that we have the technology to make such cool videos these days too.
Gawd. It will be too funny being 60 and looking back at all this stuff... Memories will be a lot easier to come by with all the cues ;)
I'm stopping at "hottest". Man, ya just gotta love a girl in a smokin' hot toque. {sigh} It must be a Hoser thing, eh?
Hell ya! You should see her without it! I love her hair!! I'd like to see it more often in fact!!! {hint hint} ;) most assuredly a Canuck thing.
Thanks Pete! I'm all about getting back on these monster feet. Permanently!

I posed her this question tonight sir. She answered thusly; "well I figure I'm already taken so why not?" Also it fits best on that finger and it is an excellent defense mechanism from the hordes of men in whistler as well as inquisitive ladies. ;)
Of course this led to her asking me whether I would be purchasing her another one soon, and I told her, if so it would not be a diamond as i am not a traditional fellow and such funds would be better spent on many other things. To which more questions ensued and I bartered a deal with her that if she will start ropegunning some pitches for me this summer than there would probably be a ring in it for her.
This deal would serve us both two fold. For one I would have a regular ropegun, and for the other she will gain boatloads of confidence, which is both something she really needs and the thing that i require for this thing to work, not to mention the key to her happiness in feeling like an equal partner in this relationship.
Thank you for your proposal story. I know you can remind your better half from time to time, why she embarked on this quest with you in the first place.
Yee ha! Dude, a bold, endurance lead with multiple cruxes, but you are cruising this pitch!!!
Thanks cowpoke! I guess it is rather bold for me to bear my soul publicly like I have. I have been accustomed to doing it for awhile but I have definitely stepped up the disclosure level on this one. It seems to have cost me a friendship already unfortunately, but i am unsure that anything I have said was really derogatory to have deserved such a deletion, so I am willing to let sleeping dogs lie, and chalk it up as just another bump in the road... My attitude is my saviour and without it I am unsure if I would have all ready attained the success that I am, so I have no need for negativity.
Norwegian shines, huh?
That is for sure capt, but it is a question that has been begging an answer for some time and it is only now that we both have the clarity to address it.

As am I Justin. As am I. The reports are my reflection and my journal so that I will never forget these moments of inspiration. The videos are awesome and increasingly so, plus they crack me up !! I miss hanging with those dudes and cannot wait until I am afforded another opportunity to goof around in the woods with them!!!!!

You are bad. Go to your room!
I wanna get the third ascent of those plums! I'll bring my climbing mag reporter to spray the details.
Jeez, Luke's now a boulderer. Ryan is now an aid climber. What is the world coming to? I think it is a sign of the apocalypse.

This weekend was mellow by intent. Saturday I tried desperately to regain sleep and rest, knowing that I would need every scrap of energy I could reserve for my long week ahead. This was made difficult by nurses waking me every two hours starting at 6 for my Tylenol, then my hydro which I really need at 8 followed by a courtesy, "don't you want to do something with your day?" Wake up call at ten. I managed to roll over after all of them and sleep until one or so. My friend josh texted me around then so I decided to at least turn on the tv and chill in bed for a bit.
He arrived not long after that and we had a really nice visit.
My buddy Josh
After we had a good chat, I got dressed and saw him off to his car. Then I went for dinner in the day room, which was halfway decent and after I immediately went back to my room and chilled out on my bed and watched some more tube.
Sunday was much the same except I bit my nurses head off a tad a six this time so they didn't bother me much, and I chilled pretty much all day till around 6:30 when Anders showed up. At one point my nurse asked me what time she could get me up, and I had been up watching tube and taco'ing all day, so I replied "I'm up already!!"
They just wanted me to get out on such a nice day(and probably thought I was depressed for sitting in bed all weekend), but I was focused on resting. At about 6:30 Anders came by and I decided to get up and go for a spin and my st paddy's day Guinness. We rolled down to "neighbours" restaurant just off oak and king Ed, and had a beer and kalimari to celebrate the occasion.
Anders got pics but I haven't got copies yet and am reluctant to steal them from facebook. It was excellent to get out tho and I much appreciated the company and the occasional uphill pushes.
I forgot I got this pic!!! Oops
This was the best smile I could illicit from Anders!! ;)
Edit thanks guys! Gotta run! Replies later!

yes.. well if she can swap pitches with me on ultimate everything without too much whining then she will have proved that she is confident enough to be my one and only ;)

Thanks Wayne! The pool rules!! Very stoked to get back in there again. The gf strong one is empty at the moment so Tuesdays only for now but, hopefully they let me in the gf strong one when the maintenance is done. Apparently it's pretty popular tho so I might have to fight someone for a spot ;)

Sometimes I think you are right but Sandra knows what she wants and I've made it very clear that ill be ready when I'm ready and she can take it or leave it. Good news is I think we are both almost ready so it looks like this thing is going to work in the long run. I've learned my lesson in the past about relationships, thank god, so when I think we're ready I'll pop the question.
