Kudos to Mark for going the extra mile x2. Always sad to see any decent person check out, but this kind of thing can take a small bit of the pain out of it, ,and bring a slice of happiness and light to even a hard persons heart.

Okay, we had a little mix up in that final sale, no big deal, it got straightened out and everyone is happy.
I do have these two final items to sell.
A pair of Large Metolius gloves. Wrap a tape around you hand and if it's 8.5 inches, these gloves will fit fine. They are brand new. $35.
The Helmet is a brand New Petzl Meteor III, $99.
Neither price includes shipping.

I wait with eager anticipation at the thought of seeing Ian's gear being put to use! And, you there, Cosmic...of COURSE I will be keeping in touch. You folks are like a family to me now. My husband lives on through the kindness of the Taco Stand. And I will definitely be there to see it!!!

Michelle, so weird.....not ten minutes ago I dropped something in the mail for you.
With spring around the corner and all it's promises of renewal and rebirth.....when you've had to leave behind such a huge chunk of your life it just doesn't seem like spring should come. I've never experienced a loss like yours so I can't say I know how you feel, just that yours and Charlie's spirits are certainly felt far and wide!

"The lofty mountains and the seas,
Being mountains, being seas,
Both exist and are real.
But frail as flowers are the lives of men,
Passing phantoms of this world.”
A year ago, Ian was so excited about the upcoming Spring which was to mark his comeback climb. Tomorrow marks 4 months since he left us. still hard to believe... I guess Time and Death are two things I will always have a hard time comprehending.... I know there is more on 'the other side' and Ian has made his presence known on more than one occasion... but still ....
I will look forward to his 'trip' up the Cap with Mark this Spring, I have a feeling that is going to be an awesome climb! Will definitely look forward to those pics as well :))

I've been thinking a bit about going up on El Cap with Ian's ashes. I'll do a little video of it.

Oh Mark!!! I simply cannot wait to meet you in person & give you a part of my husband. A piece of my heart, really. What a spiritual thing this is. Words simply cannot express it. To think of you spreading some of his ashes on his beloved El Cap....like I said, there are no words. My Charlie (Ian) was such a unique, wonderful man. Thank you Mark for recognizing that and becoming his inspiration. It is so fitting that you are taking part of him with you on a big wall climb. #he lived to climb ---- #his legacy lives on.

Michelle,
I used my hooks of Ian's last week on a dry fun for my first climb of El Capitan.
Here I am in the action! Right where Ian loved being. I never met him but am glad for the way this whole gear thing has touched many lives.

Mark if we can fit our schedules together I'd like to go with you to take Ian's ashes up the Captain. I did several walls with Ian back in the 70's-80's including Lurking Fear, he also humped loads for me a few times so i'd like to repay him.
