I don't see the country electing a self proclaimed socialist for decades. It's toxic.
The polls track really well with 2008. Obama was polling very similar numbers, everyone thought he was might upset in Iowa/NH and was saying "but what about when the elections head to the south?"
Sanders isn't Obama, however. If you don't recall, this was his concession speech on the night he lost the NH primary in a surprise upset:

You'd never know he'd lost if he hadn't congratulated her at the beginning. Clinton's victory speech, by contrast, was incredibly boring and mechanical.

He's showing that the state of current U.S. Politics is a mockery of democracy and showing the career politicians for what they are.
