When I sit back for a moment,I wonder ,not how many times I have skied this season ,but, how many miles,up or down.
Man, it has been a great winter over here,spring ,so far as well.

I live at the top of a hill. One of those east coast thousand footers..
To say that the last few years have been sledding bliss would be an understatement. The end of March and we are looking at a fresh inch in the hills and wet slushy up to three inches by four am.
I used to love the snow and play with it
Both stand up skiing and sledding with the kids Evry weekend.?
Ten years and then??. . .. Aye kidzs wanto go sledding??
I have a new rule, or two. . .
One snow man taller than an eleven year old
& The kidz have to take dad sledding twice a winter a month apart!
To much snow is just enough . . . .!!!! we did not get Boston's dumpage
And the old girl curled up and went to sleep, but the blanket of white has been nice and I will miss it!!
Now, April the snow, it needs to go.it is rock climbing season.
The last time we saw a sixty degree day was December first!
That was a late season warm day.
Today it will not get out of the thirties.
I wish I was still in my thirties !
I am ceeding hay is to starving deer including a buck or two. No the auto correct hunts
I am feeding the critters with molasses soaked grains and a bale of hay/alfalfa mix!
and not bothering them by taking any pics, it has Been full on, a tuff winter, on all out doors this winter. So Feed them starving critters.

I went through 40lbs of bird seed a week in feb! mostly been Xc skiing the last few weeks. mix of kick and skate. lots of climbing as well:)

Good advise jack. My XC skies and poles $10.00 from the 2nd hand store. My telle boots and skies older than Donini....

It's my buddy Chris. he's a mas#@&%e but a killington ski house local. I have a nasty cold but hope to feel up to Moosalake sunday if the weather allows. Isa comes home from Europe next week so all my plans after that will hinge on her scedual. Probobly not up for washington. Getting the rock climbing bugg....
damn, i can't believe they wont let you spell Mass Hole?

I did make it to Moosilauke. The skin up kicked my butt!
Headding for that little white spot up high 5.1 miles away a whole lot of this an finally you see this still over a mile away annother mile of skinning gets you here the last little bit to the top view from the top getting ready to ski back down allong this ridge Good day:)
