I have no idea who these guys are, but they appear to like dogs, little kids, and motorcyles, so probably fit here as well as anywhere else.
Oh wait, this explains it

Miss Koka, mixin' drinks.
Not the average woman.
The time I remember, Bevin and I were listening to KUOP, Friday Night Blues, and they played Koko Taylor's Down Home Blues.
I remember Stoh's and not much else.
A record or two.
Gimme those down home blues..."F=ing Christ! My parents are coming!!"
Sitting on the folks' front lawn, watching stars,
"I think it's beyond her ken, Bevin: It's only a record ot two."

Dream solo.Gimme Fever, John. USArmy guy, artillery spec., which meant he humped shells around the firebase.
(Firebase Naked City, in which there are hundreds of stories, nightmares, and recurring nighmares.
"I had a dream last night. There was no one in it. I was ALONE and SAFE!"
It was not much of a dream in comparison to, say MLK's, or Bob's 193rd (which is the number, BTW) Bomb Wing songs.
I keep thinking of Garp Sr. And floating.

Where the announcers know English and just refuse to speak it
Where the free climbing sucks and so does the pegging
Where people get jollies by walking and ferretlegging
And banana slugs dream of foxy white chicks
And everyone's touring and nobody lives there
They've all moved to Tahoe and Chico and Vegas
There's no one left in order to plague us
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard eight's a-gonna fa-a-all.
the beautiful Peggy and Throwpie. Well, she's more beautiful and a WEE bit smarter. She carries an umbrella.
And it's a hard pitch,
In fact a real bitch...And I'm gonna fall.

The driver was a climber formerly named Roger Murray and now he's known as Roger Safety Star.
It's a source of wonder that a guy from Oakhurst,
whose ancestor is buried in the Yosemite Cemetery
(his folks go BITD, I'd say),
and who lived the climbing life in the squalor of C4 (until he wised up, it seems)
would settle in as a safe, courteous, reliable and nice guy.
Nice to have met you, Roger.

FUN WITH THREADS (OT or NOT!)
According to the neebeean Metaphor, no quilt is complete without threads of many colors, depending on the design, of course.
Dingus and neebee both keep me in stitches!

Repeat after me: "the Rev NEVER lies!"--Tarbuster at the Iron Door, a historic place for a historic comment
I'm on top of the world this morning and nothing's gonna drag me down!--Handy Jack Smalley
Not even going smokeless today.
Speaking of the Rev, who's never smoked, and who is barely tolerant of my habit but has learned to keep it to himself
(His wife Denny does, but she's not allowed to smoke in the house, so there.)
Speaking of Mathis, the Rev--
Smoking is a probable cause of depression, as I see it. I know first-hand that it causes unhappy thoughts. Enough about me and theory. It's putting it into practice that's hard.
Here's where faith comes in, that a higher power is willing to help in any small way.
I'm pretty useless against this vice
'n the Good Lord's help would be real nice.
But my own dad quit.
His last ciggy remained unlit.
The truth is I don't want to quit. The truth is I never listened to Boomer's advice as a young man, and as an older fool I listened but politely ignored it.
But it's ironic that in my everyday life I am a quitter in so many ways, even in ways of which I'm unaware.
My most amazing friend, zBrown, is well into this scene. I thank him for all his good offices, of which he may have no inkling, but which have been real to me.
You see what quitting booze will do for you.
And I mean it's a good thing, zeebster.
I love you, man!

Excerpt from Ron Anderson's new anti-hunting spew, HUNTING FOR VEGANS.
Suddenly sensing danger, the bear's eys changed in appearance, no longer soft. There was a gleam of hatred in them now that made Ron tremble. He knelt and propped the holy water pitcher on the huge trunk of the ash.
"That's the devil I'm talking to!" he thought. Taking a small sip of the water calmed him immediately. He reached into his pocket for the turkey baster. Available wherever fine veggies are found, except for Khanom's Hopping Rabbit Farm.
A 'send-up,' Ron.
"Just funnin' ya, Wyatt."

So Gene is offering an alternative, MooseTroll.
The infamous Sonora Pass took place once in the sixties at a bed and breakfast near Twain-Harte.
It caters to film crews as part of its legacy. The photos adorn the walls, the good wishes from celebs abound, and the ambiance is pure-D grade-B western movie.
And Rock Hudson was in one room, Marilyn in another, adjoining.
I'm not saying anymore for fear of stepping on reputations.
But, seriously, the rest is history.
Gene is kinda tall, see.
And he's a rock climber, too.
And we are leaving for Sonora Pass.
Bye-ee!

One can't get a train ticket without presenting one's ID.
My wallet was in the red pack that was taken from the park last week.
I got to the Amtrak, found this out, calmed down, walked back over and called Gene from a neighbor's phone.
Plan C in operation.
Nuts!
