I listened to the press conference in it's entirety. I pretty much was baffled by the histrionics. My god - what is the guy DOING all day long. I know...he spent the last week coming up with that HORRIBLE survey. OMG - It was bizarre.

When I first saw these signs " Click It Or Ticket" I wondered what they were related to.
Then I looked it up and found out it was for seat belts.
I never wore those stoopid belts.

Seems like a few here are constantly scoffing at liberals. Perhaps they don't know what liberals stand for. Here are some definitions:
"Liberalism, a political philosophy founded on ideas of liberty and equality.
"Classical liberalism, a political or social philosophy advocating the freedom of the individual, parliamentary systems of government, nonviolent modification of political, social, or economic institutions to assure unrestricted development in all spheres of human endeavor, and governmental guarantees of individual rights and civil liberties."
Call me a liberal and I feel damn good about it. If you oppose these values, what does that make you? Are you proud of it?
I"ve heard a couple of definitions of a "conservative" which I rather liked:
1. A conservative is someone who feels that nothing should ever be done for the first time."
and
2. A conservative is someone who tries the same thing over and over again and expects different results. (This is also a good definition of madness.)

so far trump has repeatedly and semi-consistently gone to war against two very powerful groups:
intelligence agencies and the non-fox corporate media.
at the same time and even though i didn't think it was possible, in only a month he has continued to publicly appear more unhinged then even before [if you don't think so go watch, in full, the 77 minute presser that he just did and repeat out loud once every minute: "this is the leader of the 'free' world speaking..."]
all while he continues to make enemies of the last people, a person with as sordid a history as i guarantee trump has, should be making enemies with.
no. barring a real twist [of which there are many many possibilities at this point], i suspect the straightest of the many twisted potential roads and therefor the safest of some very unsafe money should be placed on trump being deposed [impeachment, being deemed mentally unfit, assassinated, resignation, etc] within 24 months.
long enough for his distraction dog and pony show to allow a bunch of corporate friendly rules to get through [anybody notice he just freed up the "oppressed" mining operations to start dumping sludge into rivers again?] and then given his nature and who he likes to go to war with, he will likely need to be relieved of his "duties".
if you can't see there is some kind of civil war going on between the ruling classes you need to rub the soot off your glasses...
and given who he is going up against and his lack of self control... methinks, one way or another, this is a war that trump ends up on the losing side of... not because it's a war he needs to fight [he should, after the whole flynn debacle, be keenly warned/aware of how fragile his position is] but rather because of his own psychological short comings, it's a losing war he can't help himself but fight...
if i was part of an office betting pool and was going to place $5 on what month he's gone in, i'd go put my red chip semi-chaotically on july 2018...

if so i can assure you [and you waste enough time around here that you should know] that i don't troll in the political threads...
i save that for the climbing discussions... :)
in all seriousness there isn't a word i wrote above that was written purely to get a reaction. if i had to place a $5 bill on only one of a million possible outcomes, given what i've seen over the last year and a bit that is what i'd place my fiver on..
if that was directed at me, which part makes you think it was a troll?.
