Hey Aunt Amy, Hannah, Jake, and Sarah,

I have been thinking about you all a lot during this past year and all this past week. You guys are all strong, I know that. I miss the times in Lander that we shared and I hope you guys will come down to see us soon, we missed you a couple weeks ago. Hopefully I will get to see your bright faces soon, I love you and miss you all to pieces. I know your dad is always with you all. There is no doubt about it. Keep staying strong!

Dear Amy, Hannah, Jake and Sarah,

You're all in my thoughts these days as we have passed the one year mark of losing Tod. I spent more time on airplanes and in airports with Tod that I spent with him at the crags. It seemed we were always on the early flight out of Riverton together or on the late flight back home. If not there it was in the ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria.

The late flight back to Riverton seemed like it was always long, cold and dark. I loved it when Tod was on the flight, he brought life to the small airplane and made the journey go quick. Of course he also wanted it to go quick, because whenever he was headed home he was always so anxious to see all of you!! He could hardly contain himself with the excitement of getting back to his family.

My thoughts are with you all this week!!

Regards.

Amy,
Pam Roberts here. Just to let you know that Todd will be part of my "Dia de los muertos" celebration in my classes this year...he was a phenomenal man, and I admire your fortitude in living large this past year. It's inspirational, and I'll try to impart both of you guys' strength and zest for life on to my h.s. kids.
My best to you and the kids...
abrazos,
Pam

Last Sunday, October 28, on what would have been Todd's 49th birthday, we had a great celebration in his memory at Red Canyon. Friends from New York to California sent rocks to add to our Daddy wall. The weather was perfect and family and friends joined us to begin stacking rocks and rememberances, including stones from the summit of Ulamertorsuaq, crystals from the Black Hills, limestone from the Cayman Islands, and various momentos that Todd had smuggled back to Wyoming from his journeys through the years. Thank you to all our friends who sent or brought stories, worked to set the stone, and brought food and hugs to the party. Our hope is that we can continue to add stories, stones, and memories to our wall for many years. Our best wishes and Thanks to all of you.

Amy!

thank-you for letting us see the pictures from the memorial. this year sucked because micheal reardon and todd Skinner have become part of this universe instead of being powerful mentors.

Hi Amy! The photos of the Daddy wall are wonderful! A fitting tribute to a life well lived. The other day in the teacher's room one of my co-workers posed the question, "How do you teach resilience?" And from you, I know the answer...through optimism and positive attitude. You frequently say how fortunate you and the kids have been to have had each of us through this past year, but in fact, we are the lucky ones. We have learned resilience through you. Cheers to the Skinners!

Dear Amy,

Thinking of you and the kids as the holidays approach. I know that Todd lives on in all of our hearts and minds. It is lovely to see him in your kids... that smile, those sparkling eyes. The Daddy Wall is a beautiful tribute and such a lovely way to keep him close. You are an inspiration to us all, Amy. I am happy to hear that you have all come through the first year so very well. Not without pain and sadness, I know... but still loving and open to life. Be guided always by your heart.

Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and may the New Year bring many more Blessings for each of you.

Namaste,
Connie Self
