I can understand how two people in love and devoted to each other would want to make a public demonstration of their will to want to be together exsclusively for the rest of their lives.
I Truely feel how important this is. (even though I've never been married). My only arguement is in the language and the meaning thereof. And I condone ALL the rights thereof!
But garsh darnit jus take the word "marriage" out of it. It's NOT the same thing!
And it should not be coined under the same term. That's all I stand for. Does that make me a homophobe?

You know we have some real serious problems out there and this one (like the abortion debacle) isn't one of them. People should be more concerned about the mass die offs of honey bees recently.
If we lose the bees we as a specious have maybe five years left to survive.
Then it wont matter who you mate and marry.
This is such a divisive non issue distraction.

So you want to deny an entire group of people the legal rights we as a society bestow to a committed union because of the word used to describe it... based solely on the genitalia involved? That not only makes you a homophobe... it makes you a fuking idiot to boot.

Your determination on this thread is great, but you have yet to make a valid point.
All you do is try to state that your opinion is superior, and cite the bible.
Nobodys opinion is superior, we all deserve equal consideration. That's how humans should roll, yo.
And, you've already been proven to be cherry picking scripture to suit your opinion.
Keep trying though, you're good for a few laughs, if nothing else. :)
And, this is just nitpicking, but learn how grammar works! Nothing makes you appear more stupid to someone who has a solid grasp on proper grammar than someone who is apparently too stupid to use it. You are immediately discounted when you suck at writing intellectual thoughts.

Man, blue, you can spin it however you want, and more than likely, you'll ignore this, just like you've ignored my other questions. Seems like you're content to spout nonsensical BS when confronted with legitimate questions.
But you are treating other people differently because of their sexual orientation. You can tell whatever rambling stories you want, but at its heart, you're saying that gay people aren't entitled to the same rights that straight people are. How can you justify that?

How about a couple that can't have children? Should they be forced to divorce? How long do we wait before forcing them to divorce? Who makes that decision?

In 2004, a lot of controversy began to swirl around the topic of marriage as homosexual marriage entered the news once again. In 1999, the Vermont Supreme Court ordered that the state must make accommodations for gay unions, bringing the issue into the public eye. Vermont created civil unions as a result. In 2004, the Massachusetts Supreme Court went a step further, and ruled that the state must accommodate not just an institution equal to marriage, as civil union was designed to be, but that gay marriage itself must be offered in the state. Subsequently, mayors in New York and California began to offer gay marriage in their towns and cities, citing civil rights concerns. Those opposed to gay marriage began to urge that an amendment to the Constitution be created to define marriage as being between a man and a woman only. Opponents of the amendment pointed to the failed Prohibition Amendment as a reason why such social issues should stay out of the Constitution.
