Apparently based upon CMac's opinion of who's gotten too far past the social norms of decency.
Whatever they are.
Or perhaps for taking up too much bandwidth, however that is measured.
CMac hasn't really been specific.
Perhaps his advertisers have complained?
As you know, others have previously been nuked for "pornography", which is of course in the eyes of the beholder.
At least one of the "pornographers" has been allowed back. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

How many is enough? Until we all sing the same tune in lock-step? Is that the goal?
I can understand some banning, but use uniform standards on a rational basis.
When all of the folks who have made ten's of thousands of posts that have nothing to do with climbing have been deactivated it will be enough. If I want the opinion of some old fat people who do not climb I could hang out at a doughnut shop.

it's too bad blue didn't pay enough attention to see exactly why skipt got axed. it's too bad he's so blinded by the infighting between different political opinions to see the bigger picture. not surprising... just too bad.

Do you have any clue as to the veracity of that statement? Fatty and skipt would post climbing stuff. Moreso than Bob, Dr.F, and Norton.

It was an even split, left and right, that got the boot. Probably a calculated decision on Chris's part.
All of the bootees got it for a valid reason, I'm sure.

Easy. Fatty was too political all the time (mostly), Fort put up porn, and Wes was just a nasty man who hurled insults without justification.

Blue, your comment was a direct response to my suggestion that while booting one person who derailed discourse was a good start, a couple more deactivations would be even better.
Why you chose to interpret that as meaning "a couple more with the same political view" is beyond me. That is not what I was talking about, and if you'd taken even one miinute of time to think about it, you'd have known that.
What I am asking for is a chance to have a rational discussion and debate about political ideas. How is that even possible when one "side" is kicked out and everybody still left all have the same view? What's to debate if you and I agree on everything?
No, what I would like is for the shreikers to be deactivated. Whatever their political view.

Apogee, you and Doug are an excercise in hypocritical censorship. It only needs to go away when you disagree with it.
 I hate to bring this up… But this site not only is a great place to get information on climbing/share a tale/bash politards… it's also a business.. is it not? I mean the site does have to pay for its self right? I'd hate to think that CMac was going into debt to keep this site running…
So, consider it this way: CMac owns a restaurant which he kicks someone out (right to refuses service) for any reason he chooses.
That is just one of the problems with the idea of freedom of speech while inside a business: With it comes responsibility.
I know I may need to explain more for some out there, but c'mon… really?

An honest man would agree that Dr.F, Bob, and Norton be included in that club.
Maybe even myself. I do post a bunch of "world affairs", but I have been known to post more climbing stuff than say, someone like Jingy, right?
Even Malemute or yourself MUST agree...it's undeniable, and that is what pisses me off!!!

Skipt did contribute about his exploits as a back-country SAR ranger. More than Norton or Dr.F did. Or Gary, or Bob, or many. He is a climber.
I think you know I'm right. But you'll never admit it. And neither will CMac.
It's his site, his rules. But they just seem to be lop-sided.
