Way to go Cracko! That's what we're looking for! The guide is great, SteelMonkey has a real talent for putting together terrific guides with great info, topos, history and more. It even has a proud photo of me struggling up some pitch on the Mace.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd just happen to pop-up on iTunes, it's background shop music although somewhat appropriate. The guidebook author is from the south.

Keep the bids coming.....meanwhile a little teaser.............Superstition Mountains up next!

edit: Wife from the south, not Greg. Late night positing error.

Selected routes guide for the Supes from 1998. Went out of print a few years back.
This is a one-time-only dredge of a couple of copies to benefit the Gordo project.

Great. Hope to bid & purchase... If the supes guides are officially up for auction, I'll start at $35-this hopefully gets things started. Even if I don't end up with one, I hope people far outbid me-at least the ball is rolling now for the supes guides!!!!! Or perhaps I've jumped the gun?

Terrific thanks for starting the bid Gal! Current bid is $35 for Superstitions Select by Greg Opland....

Greg, if you have the the electronic copy of the Table of Contents can you post it up? It was hard to photograph without messing up the guide.

Nice unit and rare!

Where are we offering bids for Superstitions Select by Greg Opland? On this thread?
I'd like to up the bid to $40.

Also, I'd like to donate the below guide to the fundraiser. Perhaps I should send it to the JTree Party?

Whoa Phil!

It's been many years since I saw a Wolfe Guide. Back in my mischevious youth it took all my will power to not "liberate" that guide from the library at CalPoly.

Phil, feel free to auction off here and send proceeds and/or you're welcome to send it to me for the Silent Auction event. Let me know if you prefer the latter, I'd love to add it to our silent auction goods.

Meanwhile, the Superstition Select bid is currently at $45 by Nate Smith. Bid again, let's earn some money for Gordo!

We have received a terrific bid for the Sedona guidebook from JMC, $100 is currently the highest bid!

crickets on the Chouinard alpine hammer?

I'm not budging on the minimum bid.

If anyone wants to cross post this to mountain project or noob.com to expand the potential buyers, feel free. This is the only climbing forum I'm active on.

As an aside, can anyone provide historic data on this hammer? I picked it up in the early 80's.
