Mouse, Okay, glad the book arrived.
Flight of the Bumblebee:
Going into the Winds years ago, my climbing pard and I were meeting this other climber, whom we did not know, who lived up on the North Fork. So, we got to his place after dark - right on the river - and saw no lights. From by backpack I pull out my flute and started playing Flight of the Bumblebee. Then after a couple of minutes, a light went on, an window opened and a voice yelled out into the darkness, "I'd rather hear Holst!" so I started playing Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity. He came out, bowed, and kissed my hand. Little did he know that he had exhausted a third of my repertoire of known music.
Later, he asked why I carried my flute into the mountains. Partly for my own amusement and to confound those along the route, as well as give them something to talk about. And also because a piano is too heavy. :) And I do not know how to play the harmonica.
Mumm's is one of my favorites. Brut. As soon as we are finished being Taco losers, that will be a good reason to open a bottle. Thank you for the idea.
Skies. Hmmm. Well. Hmmmmm. I am sure your Cali skies are nice and all, but um, I think Montana's are prettier.
Tomorrow may be a long work day. I'd better go consult with Morpheus.
Good night all you fire-keepers.

Ah,
All a'sweetness and all alone. [Click to View YouTube Video]
climbing gyms ruined my future, in the long lost past....
I never ever wanted in, into that, lusting, churning business
And knew that adventure travel, if goal oriented, so against That business model too
Could not last.
What dreams are beyond reach?
What is it that my and mine have done, or not
that we are not at that point
Where and when others like us get to grasp the Golden ring
Not just for a fling
But with security,
no gear last for ever
Unless designed by DOLT
The plans that I was laying out,
trying to make plans to get out
Now seem doomed
Dashed by that word
The word......
I'm going on about nothing
and have a collection of the same.
Fini..??
After this, gift your self, and check other Reed stuff[Click to View YouTube Video]

As the spring here starts and stops, I pick and choose when to take the spawn out climbing.
Sunday's after chores
and a vist to the least humble shrine that hops across, zoning laws
So parking is in a field.
Well seeing the mud on white, and knowing that the hose to the failing low pressure well
that feeds the house as well, (at least that still works)
so the mud on white will now be, until warmer rains can facilitate buckets,
so the white car can be all white again not streaked brown from the wheel wells....
Seeing this...I took the boy to another muddy parking spot I rarely visit anymore.
A spot where the climbing and the demands of the opening moves
are just too hard to be fun anymore
So getting to this no point, older and weaker by a year, a place I'm keeping secret,
and that can't be kept secret at all
has seen NO-ONE-CLIMBING, there - still at all.
I need to monitize some thing
Ducts fail regularly
Now it is the grand national adventure that I'm lacking
Due to my monthly gamble to stay one month behind
The 21 and change - change that happened to coincide with a leap year.
Bubbly wine
SLAP,
Got caught and so dropped for non-payment, with tikes this is a crisis,
no programs , paid or free can be risked
and no way can I see to hold the house of cards, we built so carefully,
Up right
A house of cards with no vertical relief, is just a pile of .......

nee bee, let us be dancing on our 100th birthdays. :) I would hope to be dancing under the Aurora. But there are stars I admire also.
I think we could form a conspiracy to keep the Jello thread on the first page for a while, until he can go home. We could just post little notes, and other will, too. Just when we think about it.
Is that not a legal conspiracy? :)
There have been two more great snowfalls since we talked. Huge flakes, whipped slaunch-wise by the wind, as Doug would say, and leaving snow shields on the northwest sides of the trees.
Today, before the blizzards spilled over the Divide, I had mountain bluebirds, robins, juncoes, nuthatches of three kinds, goldfinches, flickers, house finches, hairy and downy woodpeckers, chickadees and red crossbills at the feeders. And Townsend's Solitaires perched nearby.
And that is the full feather report of the day. Except that yesterday, the sandhill cranes returned. And one blue heron.
Sleep well, good dreams,
ff

I am trying to get out each day, weather permitting, neebee. I'll do like I did today and try to do an errand on the bike, strapping the tripod into the basket, case I need it.
I like to take my sweet time and speaking of time, it's nice that the sun is where it is late afternoons, because it gives such good lighting if I set up right.
Today's ramble included a red squirrel sighting and I met Bubba Smith, too!
Bubba's person sang an improv song about his pooch.
Went somehting like:
Bubba Smith is my dog, he's so cool
Bubba Smith is my friend, he's a jewel
Bubba Smith
Bubba Smith
Bubba Smith
I found fifty cents for the hat and went to watch the poppies furling and unfurling, the wind blowing them slaunch-wise, making it darned difficult to get a shot which was not blurry.
I persevered.
The squirrel that I encountered is the first I have seen in this particular block of N Street. There are more of these guys as one walks toward the courthouse park, and Applegate Park is loaded with them.
This little guy was pretty sure of me, so he let me get pretty close.
I took in the bookshelves at the Antiques Mall and found this goodie.
Edit--Oh, yeah...I did see Philomena on your FB page, there, neebee; had never heard of her, nor anyone named for the forgotten saint. There was a Catholic parish named St. Philomena's just north of our St. Ignatius parish in Sacramento in the fifties. There was a girl's high school there. The Sainted woman Philomena lost her canonization in a church "purge" of many saints along about the late fifties, I think.
Anyway, I was struck by her nameand I had to check it out further and so it goes in the politics of the hereafter.
Gotta like a smooth segue.
