Use the table at this link to find the times of moonrise/meridian passing/moonset on a daily basis.
https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/usa/modesto
Go to the bottom of the page for this month and find the same for the eclipse. Maximum eclipse time in Modesto is 5:29 a.m., 1/31/18.

A super moon, a full moon, a blue moon, and a lunar eclipse all in one.
And clear skies are predicted here!

In a week of heavy rains, it might even be clear here (in Seattle) tomorrow at 5AM. Check it out!

Just saw a shooting star go over the top of the crescent moon. Pretty neat. Its gotten noticeably darker here. I can't see it from a window, so go out to the porch. But the temps here in the desert are mild. 53 degrees at 5:30 AM

When did lunar eclipse become "blood moon"?
I didn't know until yesterday there was going to be an eclipse because I forgot "blood moon" meant lunar eclipse.
Just a regular moon coming up through the smog and bum-fire smoke looks enough like a blood moon that that's what I thought they were talking about.
And I guess a full moon is a "super moon" now.
Blue moons have always been blue moons.

When was the last time there was a calendar month without a full moon? Next month, February 2018, there won't be a full moon, super moon, nothing.
No full moon until March.

Oops. Got up too late. The moon was already too low on the horizon. Needed the extra zzs though.
