Was up on Woodson today...looks like you guys topped out on that smooth arete problem / Epi creation on the inside of the Painted Boulder switch-back, for I saw chalk to the top. Stopped there myself and pulled it off twice out of a total of about TEN tries, ugh! My tips are sensitive just typing this! I smacked my leg/kneecap about four times just trying to get off the ground, sheesh! My toe hurts like the dickens but am able to edge okay. Back step with the left foot and cracks, forget it! Day of rest then back up there on Sunday!

That small boulder on the inside of the Painted Boulder switch-back is the Bobby Brown arete Brad? Is that indeed a Epi creation?

Any info on this one? The dike on the same boulder as Shawn's Knobs. It faces the road is very obvious when walking by that switchback. Mike's topo lables this the Eppulator but I've seen posts that that problem is the steep pinchy traverse with the dyno at the end around the back.

the dike facing the road on the west side is eppicenter, B1. the steep pinchy traverse with the dyno facing shawn's knobs, hell i don't think that thing ever had a name but it's B1 as well.

I dug out some gear. I have two pairs of lace up scarpas. One pair is black and purple and the other pair is black and green. I remember doing Excelsior in the green ones. Those things a damn tight. I don't think I can keep them on for more than a few minutes now. haha
Has chalk changed at all? I still have some bags of that metolius chalk that came in the white bags. Tomorrow at woodson should be comedy.

This is the layback I mentioned down by the fireroad just before the hairpin. We did it today but I would assume has been done before.
