Keep it up dude, two, two and two is how I remember it going for me when I kicked nic.

It took right about 2 days to get the crap out of my blood - that has to be the LSD experience that Largo mentioned - fun times no doubt, then it was two weeks of stomach pains and light-headedness, interesting but no where near the *mind ride* that the first two days were...more crap in the body to flush out I'm sure...lotsa water during this time period.

Then the crux, the two months that followed, where everything was a trigger for a smoke, this is where I had hunker down and stay focused. I ate apples like nobody's business and chewed on coffee stir sticks - wooden ones held up the best for me, plastic ones upset my stomach and I went through them too fast.

Anyhow, good luck man. The freedom & extra energy post cigarettes is AMAZING.

Pat has inspired to give it another go. Quitting, that is.

I haven't had a cigarette in 2 days. I do have another 'crutch' though. I figure if I can break the 30 year habit of cigarettes, my crutch will be easy to put down.

It's also a way to ease my body off nicotine.

Hang in there, Pat!

No cigarettes for me either. I'm sucking those nicotine lozenges. Kicking the nicotine entirely will be the test, but after smoking cigarettes for 30 years I think baby steps are in order.

Patrick,

If you apply one tenth of the energy, effort, and attitude towards quitting smoking that you apply to your climbing you will send this project...patch or no patch.
