I thought one of the more poignant quotes was made by Royal Robbins when he said "John Bachar was my hero" Hearing Robbins say that was amazing to me. It was nice to see so many old friends again. It was a very special occasion in a wonderfully beautiful place

Thank you for all of the heartfelt words and the pictures. I am so sorry that John has left this incarnation but it is clear he lives on in so many hearts (including mine).

From a favorite book:

"Because you are important, everything you do is important. Every time you forgive, the universe changes; every time you reach out and touch a heart or a life, the world changes; with every kindness and service, seen or unseen, my purposes are accomplished and nothing will ever be the same again."

What a magical time in Mammoth yesterday!
I saw allot of kindness yesterday, allot of tender hearts. You see it too, in the pictures on this thread; deep and lasting friendships, love and concern for one another.

Thanks Yerian for your sharing your heart with us, and reminding us once again what it's all about .

It was an incredible day and I felt very privileged to be there.

The sax solo came up through my soul, through my feelings and out to the sky. Powerful. Cleansing.
All of the speakers that I saw had important messages for all.

The opportunity to talk with so many about such an impressive and important member of our tribe, cathartic.

Thanks especially to Doug, Dave Y, Anastasia, Autumn Talsky and of course John L. for this post.

I had one of the best days in a long time today just enjoying all Tuolumne has to offer and I have yesterday to thank for that.

Thank you all, condolences to his family and close friends, and thanks JB for showing us the way!
