hey there all, say... say, as wonderful and as kind and gracious as you all have been....
it seems funny for me to get such kindness when perhaps someone else is not getting it...
maybe what you all could do, would be to find someone in your neighborhood, that is worse off than me...
somehow i always get by... and i am used to things that have gone wrong since i got divorced... this bad season for me, is just one of those bridges that i have to cross to get to whereever it is that i am going...
i sure dont want to get any folks annoyed at me... i am just here 'cause i love you all... and you all have loved my brother and the great outdoors and EACH OTHER for so long...
even LONGER THAN before i first stepped in here...
wow, you are wonderful...
how about just taking a supertopo hug from me... and sending me an email card and just keep encouraging me that the ol' sun will shine soon...
that will mean so very much more to me...
honest...
and then all will feel at ease and happy, to and i will smile richly before god...
and--you will always know how loved and grateful i feel...
and ps:
to dear and wonderful jello...
you are a right fine fellow...
not can compare...
here or there...
you see the hearts of them that hurt...
and you rise to the call, with all your heart is worth...
and the supertopo crowd here, too...
is fast to rally, and loyal and true-blue...
to help those that love the great outdoors round about...
and now, even i have tasted, of it, and withour a doubt...
i love you all, dear honeyies...
but, say, save your hard earned moneyies...
and give me many more smiles...
throught out my supertopo miles...
as this is my home...
and from here i won't roam...
so i sure dont want to do no wrong...
or get out of tune, from this wonderful throng...
so send jello some pretty cards for me instead...
and some prayers, when you lie down to go to bed...
and the good lord will send me food...
and i won't be seen as rude...
and i will one day soar like a happy bird...
and share it with you all, my lovely supertopo herd!!!

That's not a bad idea. Then it wouldn't be like we gotta scramble when the situation hits.
There could just be a board of like 5 people (no ties) to vote on the worthy causes, and the amount to be attached. Jello as head of the board. I don't know about such things, I just know that it sounds good.

I think a slush fund would be nice but I also like having the chance to give something to someone I seem to hit it off with or someone who seems to me to be really deserving. We can't all give all the time as there are so many needs.
I think it is great that jello got this started as neebee seems to be such a kind and caring person that could use a little boost of love.

Yeah, Nature, that is not something I want to see. But if I were you I would be pretty jazzed that the female Tacos are interested. Especially if it helps the cause. Perhaps you could set up a separate myspace page. Even non-climbers might make a contribution. Just watch your back :O)
