Sucks, I have to finish moving that weekend. I can go the following weekend, but Blue's window of opportunity will be closed by then.
Mason - you hitting Red Rocks around Memorial Day? I was thinking of going to Colorado around that time. Maybe I can swing through Vegas for a day of climbing.

Cool your jets Bluey
There's piles of low elevation show. It would be epic to get to Wamello Dome and even getting close with 4WD is going to take time or hot weather
I could be wrong cause I haven't been around there but Moosie couldn't even drive up his driveway in Wawona a few days ago at 4000 feet with a 4x4

June for sure. Bikes or motorcycles to ride the dirt between the drifts is a possibility, but those big ol drifts in the shade will be there into June for sure.

Dood, you need a tour with just about ANY of the Shutyeye folks. Wamello is cool for sure but there are formations out in Shuteye that will make your brainhousing group go into multiple orgasms!
Steady, warrior......STEADY.

Thanks for the beta, y'all.
Mooch, I've been out to Shuteye a couple of times. I was just wanting another shot at South Pillar.

I tried to get up there last week knowing that it was a longshot. We got shut down well shy of Fresno Dome and went for a trail run in Nelder Grove instead. I spoke with a friend that made it Kelty Meadow campground yesterday (6/6) before she hit snow. I would imagine that you'll be able to get reasonably close by early next week since it looks like we finally have some warm weather coming our way and the 4 wheel drive crew should be making tracks through the deep stuff. If you can get there the S. Face looks completely dry.

I get Father's Day off according to my wife, so by June 18th it should be solid.
I'm trying to rally Ezra from the original trip as well as others. Everybody's welcome. It's a fun crag and there's a bunch of sh#t we walked past that fateful day that looked sweet, that we ignored, in our quest fot the South Pillar.
I may take an extra day off to do some other stuff out there. Really cool place to camp and climb. I wouldn't be dreaming of going back if it wasn't...
The Shuteye is just as cool, or cooler, but I gotta finish Wamello first.
EDIT: thanks, Fishtrap! Msiddens, show up, dude!
