Ouch!

Onomotopeia?

Or some Crimpie cartoons....

Just imagine

"Slick Silverbacks" syndicated.

Instead of being published a few times a year, she is prodigiously plastered on the pages of popular publications. peppering the populace with a plethora of particularly peculiar consumer products, promoting Silverbacks pocketbooks, bobble heads, brass nut pendants, and eeyonkee potpourri.

Brassnuts and eeeyonkeee-
Just want you guys to know that the 'stout silverbacks' comment comes with the highest level of respect! You guys are hardmen!
Fine Jade used to be on my radar, now just a blip of a distant goal. Those photos are awesome, inspiring.
And when my one grey hair multiplies, and the years roll away... I sure hope I can crush it in style like you dudes.

ps- 'Butt Pygmies' looks stellar.

Brassnuts: You were not "under the weather!" Grug sometimes adds Nyquil to his partner's gatorade in order to get the more photo-friendly leads. Old trick that all the Poways know about and use routinely. In the future, do more research.

For those of us who couldn't possibly accomplish that much on one trip ... at least we can enjoy the photos.

Somewhere in there were shots of my all-time favorite Moab lead.

But alas, I see that my campaign to restore Castleton Tower to its earlier name is never gonna gain traction.

Cool Chiloe - I learn something (many things really) everyday! Castle Rock or the Castle does sound much better.

BrassNuts is writhing on the floor groaning after looking at Wunsch rapping off that single 1/4" bolt!

Ladies and gentlemen, let we introduce to you Bruce and Kinley, Click and Clack, Brunosafari and PhantomX,...the ADAMS brothers!

Bruce: Brassnuts: You were not "under the weather!" Grug sometimes adds Nyquil to his partner's gatorade in order to get the more photo-friendly leads. Old trick that all the Poways know about and use routinely. In the future, do more research.

Kinley: Bump, for vertigo rush. NOT, I'll repeat, NOT for muscleman model promo. Other than that one photo that makes me want to barf (yes, you know that one), that's the stuff!

I grew up with these clowns.

eemonkey,

We all have a few clowns in our lives.
I'm sure we all treasure them and we NEED to keep a few clowns in life. Keeps us smiling rather than frowning when the man tries to get us down!!

You probably have us confused with the Colorado Adams brothers. Yet I have seen PhantomX riding the high wire in polka dots on his unicycle. I know- not such a big deal. But the wire was stretched between K2 and Everest!

Grug--please note: the Adams brothers prefer to respectfully retain anonymity in the presence of attractive females (Crimpergirl).

Hey Animals--concerning the third shot in the Long Canyon series, I was wondering: Has anybody climbed the wicked crack above?

B. (not necessarily Bruce), she's more attractive in person (not that I've noticed). The climb that I'm leading in that pic is called Miss Kitty Likes it That Way, 5.11+. Although our guide didn't have it, Classic Desert Climbs shows that the crack to our right is Rawhide, 5.11+, It's listed at 120' (ours was 90'). By the way, Jack Roberts and another guy (sorry, I can't remember the other guy's name) did pretty much all of the FAs on this buttress.

Nice TR!

Charlie Fowler did most of the FA's on Maverick Buttress around 1987.

I AM remembering right about Jack Roberts, though, aren't I (if it happened before the day before yesterday, there's about a 50/50 chance I'll get it right)?

No need to respond - I looked it up on Mt Project. It was Roberts and Fowler.
