What do you suppose would have hapened to any *journalist* who felt like throwing his Florshiems at Saddam Hussein?
Trick question; Hussein didn't allow journalists to operate freely back when he ran things.
That makes the Iraqis worse off now than then.

Didn't they fake Saddam's hanging and he now lives in Argentina in some Village with Hitler, serving coffee and steaks to climbers on their way to Patagonia?

LEB- At press conferences the secret service stands back. All the people in the room are vetted, searched and monitored but if the Big Bad Presidents have bodyguards standing all around them they look weak. You can bet the guy got a secret service tackle just after this image stopped.

OMG it is f*cking hilarious. I didn't see it on TV (just clips here), heard about it at dinner. Also heard they
(shoe thrower?) called him a "dog"...also very bad. Shoes, bottom of shoes, really bad.
Our little lame duckie Bush, what a sociopath, just keeps on smilin' like getting shoes thrown at you means...heck of a job, George!!

Well on the upside at least the Parasite in Chief can finally claim he's been under fire in a war zone. Boots on the ground if you will.
The angry Iraqi journalist is probably being renditioned out right now.
Maybe they will put him into the Dick Cheney Aim for Success 12 step program.

Something tells me that if the guy actually HAD hit Bush with a crampon that, from the appearance of the wounds alone, the libs would have blamed Cheney.

Fatrad edit: I have not heard of Poizner, but Arnold is my kind of moderate Republican I would vote for.

"An Iraqi journalist who hurled his shoes at President Bush and called him a dog became a huge celebrity in the Arab world and beyond on Monday, with many supporters exalting him for what they called a courageous act in the face of American arrogance about the war."
