they just don't make people like they used to. Killing the engine and yelling out of the door, finding bodies by listening for flies, at age 70 something. Real people, real solid people.

Whenever I read this story it just makes me smile, for all the personalities - Clyde, the pilot, Lauria and his brother in law exploring the Sierra as youngsters, and that great Sheridan cartoon.
Wasn't listening for flies also a part of the story of Norman Clyde finding the body of Walter Starr Jr, many years before?
