Greetings,

I'm just east of Seattle on the Plateau. Work downtown though... Chasing kids these days so not much climbing. Only tacos I've met are a few Santa Cruzan's and Crimpie.

Sorry about the mistaken identity, Wayno. I was thinking of Wayne Wallace.

Great idea to do a Seattle Supertaco, BTW!

If the idea of a dinner is not to your liking then there are other possibilities. I'm open to suggestions. I even have beer on tap at my abode. Going outdoors this time of year can be iffy. You never know when it could get wet. Some of the parks have Yurts, but that probably costs money. I don't know, I'm just fishing at this point, seeing if there is enough interest.

Abruzzi, of course (for the namesake Abruzzi ridge. Have no idea how it tastes. :)

I'll have to check in with my personal Sommelier. I helped her (sis in law) study for Sommelier cert. Youngest in Cali at the time.

January'ish may be the next time I'm up though. :(

I've never done vesper though i wouldn't be surprised if we'd ran into one another somewhere.

I'd be interested in a midweek dinner. A trip would also be cool, climbing this time of year can be hit or miss though leavenworth and a couple of areas east of the crest are still very climbable on most days. Maybe some of the EWA crew will chime in with other suggestions (state park camp ground near banks lake?).

Whatever the arrangement, Mimi and I would love to attend and pitch in as long as November is off the calendar. Keep us informed as it would be fun to get together here in Drizzletown!

Sounds like we have enough interest. Now the planning stage. December would be good, maybe. This is the busiest time of year in my industry so Jan. might be better if I can't find the right window. I understand that Ouch's daughter lives in Kirkland. Maybe we should invite her so we can toast her late great father?

Count me in too, I'm in Fremont (the Seattle one)! Hey, I even climbed with Ryan once (one of these days we ought to do it again)! Can I come to dinner? Can I? Can I? :-)

I can vouch for Maysho who's visiting you from Cali. Great guy to climb with, who still cranks...for his age!

Just kidding, Pete!

Hey Stewart (Olympic Mountain Boy). Its still a little warm at index by the standards of our last trip. Shall we say green drag-on in december? (jokeing...though I do need an excuse to buy a warm parka)

Hey Mazamarick, Were you one of the other Yanks at Daryls memorial? I remember there was another besides the three of us that went together.

Yep. I couldn't miss it, Darryl was truly one of a kind. First time I had been to Squamish in 20 years. It was hard to tell who was who except for the Squamish hardcore...."do you declare lightweight??!!"

...."do you declare lightweight"

I vaguely remember "Let there be light" as the Squamish Hardcore response to any kind of posing.

I'm not sure, usually passed out before I could reply. I guess I wrote the book on "lightweight." Pissed me off, Darryl partied harder, climbed better and slept less! Whoops, wrong thread. Let me know if there's a Seattle get together, I'd like to attend.
