Thanksgiving is looking more and more possible. . Questions I have; will not have the 4x4 with me, little sedan, will this do. I forget how far away Valley of Fire is from LV. Ron, how far from a proposed camp to RRocks? Also, are we going to get tooled in Snow Canyon? Not too excited for that after last couple trips to Yosemite. I agree any camping (even in a gutter behind Binion's) would be more enjoyable than the BLM site.

I was thinking Al-Obama hills for turkey day, but this has promise. Not sure we can swing the extra gas to get us out that way just for a couple of days. But if this forms up, I'll try and convince my better half to go.

I spoke to Travis today. No word yet on a venue.
My line of thinking was that since certain people with a trailer aren't into marginal adventures then a bunch of us could rent one (Clifford sold his Runamuka) and park it in a dead end where street vehicles can get to at the edge of the climbing area. This would be basecamp from which day trips could foray into the rocks. To a degree they could carpool in 4X4s, but it would require a person (perhaps a nonclimbing spouse?) remaining in camp to keep an eye on the stuff left in camp.
With my FJ emptied out I can carry three more (or even four if three of them are good friends,..)

Yowza!! Holy...! I just read through all of this. Sounds like a real pain in the ass for a wee bit of chossy climbing. Especially when you have such good climbing within an hour (in each direction if you face climb). Yikes! hahaha
Glad I'm headed to Josh! I'd rather spend my time climbing than ferrying (good word, since it's ghey) people and gear to "climbing" areas, worrying about whether or not your trailer can get here or there, etc... HAHAHA errr BWAHAHAHAHA

I'm leaning heavily towards making it. In fact I'm not sure how/why I won't be. Just need to commit.
One night of sushi though. Won't be the gigantic spread with fish from hawaii (unless we all wanna cough up $50/head).

Ron I'm Gettin' a chubby just thinkin' about meeting mister Kor and seeing the Sushi' herd again. I'll bring the generator, the Burning Barn PA and a few Misc. Toys ( assault rifles and newly aquirred hand guns since RPD took my beloved baby eagle,( Pussies)). I don't think I could scare off Layton with a 75 round mag in an AK.......
Maybe a Gibson plugged into a Fender amp at 2 AM.....Who knows.....I think we call the "Liquored" fools in the "Barn", Desert Beagles...or was it Seagulls, who knows or "Remembers"....

Hey Nature and Ron,
What night are you thinking for Fish? I ask for 2 reasons;
1 Our current plane tickets depart Friday night at Midnightish. If need be we'll change them.
2 We're camping for the most part at RR BLM. If it's one night I'm thinking we'd shoot up and maybe convinvce Crimpie and Brassies to come along.

Well Travis hasn't called about a venue, and lacking a show (and if it doesn't in a day or two it ain't gonna) it'll be harder to lure out the big guy although he's got the hook in him.
But the trailer idea was in truth much to his benefit however unnecessary since we could just go in by 4X4 and tent up in the rocks.
Nature is still into doing a one night fish stand apparently.
