Slakkey,

Cool, make sure you follow though, I want details!

I want to take my family on the JMT while they (kids) are still in the stage where you can really make an impression on them...but old enough to remember the physically hard times as well as the esthetically bueatifull times (which should be most of it).

Typo edit: Mimi thought I said Whitford, but it should read Wilford. anyway....

Meems: not Jo, but Mark...

but I did see Jo KO the PoodleBoy outside the bar... after she thought he kicked a raccoon (he never did by the way) Walked up to him and punched him right in the gut.... doubled him over and ended his night at the benches.

Hardman, agreed. I was just pulling your leg... You rarely make off-topic posts.

No worries - it's just that one of my recent leg-humping Internet Bitches also brought
up the Mac thing, so my post was for general consumption, but especially for my bitch...

That's a good one. Poor Poodle Boy. Sad story that.

I thought you wrote Jo's name and then spotted the err and deleted. Yeah, as I posted, I bet she does sport a good punch.

Well, okay. Since you asked HK. He was a friendly, cute gay man with very curley brown hair who worked at the deli. He was known to subtly flirt with some of the male climbers requesting a bagel dog. A couple of these climbers would routinely delight in turning down the hot mayo (or secret sauce) when asked. Always got a chuckle.

When I inquired years later about some of the old faces from the 80s, I learned that he'd been murdered in San Fran. Stabbed to death. Didn't get the details. I wouldn't have imagined him ever meeting such a fate.

wow on the Poodle Boy..... but..... the one Jo socked was not the hot mayo kid from the Deli..... He was a different Poodle Boy... I know of at least three even at this advanced age.

The Jo poodle boy was a major Vitamin L dealer from the Bay Area. Kinda scary dude, with a fro-ish mop of hair and pupils that were always too big. Pretty fit and pretty thick. Not someone you would want to sock unless you had a good escape route planned. Jo didn't care.... she just downed him. Kick assss™™™™

WB, did you happen to see the sunrise this morning? I got to work early and opened the live webcam on HD and captured a real gem. I don't think I can open the photobucket at work but I'll post it in the evening.

Have a goodnight.

hey there russ... say, if you are still around... i dont remember too well, as it was another "long long ago, long ago" but:

mark had some pics where he had spent the night up on the rocks... was this el cap, or not??? did he climb it?

also, what other stuff did he climb, half dome, etc, too???

i never did know... did he do all the standard routes that every did there, as well....

i DID read of a few that he did with kevin, though i only found bits and pieces of this info, on yahoo searches...

*could you list a few, please, if you aint too busy this fine shiny night... why, you'd be a right nice knight in shining armor, if you could...

*i DO have that neat pic of mark on "crack a go go" (picture by vern, right?)

thanks russ....

neebee.... your brother was a God in Yosemite. If it was there, he climbed it.

Maybe one of those list guys will pop in, like Ed or Clint, and give you the rundown. It was plenty, and they were good.

Here is a pic of Kauk, taking a pic of Chappy when we were all in Hueco Tanks, TX. in the late 80's or early 90's (?)

hey there russ.... awwwww, thanks russ... say, i knew he was a special guy... but i never got to know much of yosemite days, sadly... i really love my brother... it is hard being in big family as ours---we got seperated too much, and more so, as we followed all kinds of trail in life that lead different ways....

mine led to texas and not yosemite and the mountains that i loved...

say, russ... thanks for sharing my brothers good name with me...
