I post with a different user name there. My first post on supertopo was in regards to tuolumne climbing a few years ago. I didn't expect to stick around, so I used a different username.

I used to get lost when the kids started throwing the alphabet soup around. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't remember what IIRC or ROTFL meant. And I kept forgetting the name of that website, too.
Then I realized that I didn't have to remember any of this, because, as the kids kept telling me, GIYF (Google Is Your Friend).
Now, whenever I come across an acronym that doesn't scan, I just punch it into Google, and I'm good to go. (Or, as the kids would say, "I'm GTG".)
