"It takes all kind to make a village!" - MisterE

The rest of the world probably regards us all as idiots AWOL from other villages.

The real climbing village is a good place to be. Some times, when I bother worrying about the future, I can't help but hope my kids discover just how cool this village is in all its frivilous relevance.

Great, interesting, thread, Dirt. It is always cool when a "non climbing thread" for climbers is interesting for more than a few posts!

Yeah hoo to LEB and Lynne for your infamy ("that's more than famous, right?") as well as the rest of you who make this such a great place to hang when you can't be out there gittin er done.

Oh, and a big "word out" in the venacular to locker and L for both, in their own ways making the discussion beter for their presence!

Lois, as a semi long term member of this morass, more or less knows where she stands, collectively and individually 'wit dis mob'.

Lynne, keep on smiling, I for one, really appreciate your contributions and your sincerity.
Ouch!

Eric, by calling your thread too touchy feely hippyish, I don't think qualifies as a hijack or a 'crap all over your thread'. It's a public discusion forum and I weighed in with my opinion.

Hahahahaha LOL, that was funny ......

Anyways Lois is cool, and so is Lynn.

"As for Lynne being the ST den mother...You do know many of us need it and do appreciate her input. Now don't be messing with her, I'll bite. Talking bad about someone's mother will get you hurt." AF

I couldn't agree with you more, AF! Why, look at the calming influence her den-mothering has had already:

People's threats of causing bodily harm have been minimized to simple warnings of a bite here or there.

Dirt has not only been wonderfully funny, but has expressed an affection for someone--a charming behavior we rarely see and would love to see more of.

Ouch!--for once!--is the one with the red face.

Chewy has made all us cat-lovers laugh the turpentine off our cat-arses.

MisterE has expressed curiosity about a huckleberry cure, which, I'm sorry to say, MisterE, we'll have to take up in a private email as Dirt would go ballistic if I wrote naturopathic cures on his thread (and rightly so).

Locker is still--thankfully--confused about my post and no longer in any danger of getting bitten by AF.

Lois and Lynne have become famous on the Taco for simply being who they are...and have forms of posting named in their honor, which is actually quite an honor.

And Bluering--right on cue--has proven that some people simply do not understand the mysterious concept of humor.

Now I for one think all of this behavior modification a great thing, because as AF pointed out...we're all in need of a little DMing sometimes on this Forum. Talk about herding--or rather--den-mothering cats...good luck, Lynne!

This thread is fabulous!

This thread is supposed to be about the difference between Loisifying a thread and Lynnifying a thread, not an attack on their characters.

Nita, love your pic ! Didn't pick up on the crazy grin with gritted teeth 'til Professor Hartoni pointed it out....Great !

Just a comment....no need to reply (sarcasm from a thread of the same name. : )

Just why, "I yam who I yam"....

Many, but not all, of the ST know my best friend and husband died recently, unexpectedly and relatively young. (to me)

I realized for the first time, really and truly in my life, that NO ONE is guaranteed the next hour or day.

I PROMISED myself, to the best of my ability, that NO ONE would leave this planet without a smile or an honest, positive comment if their life came across my path.

PS ...sappy....? I kinda thought I had a sense of humor, which has not been mentioned. It must be too far side of the FAR SIDE...must put humor development on the "TO DO" list.

Love you all...Lynne

Out,,,to the great outdoors to train for the next debacle.hehe

Lynne is like a sun beam coming in a window. Lois is like a rainy day. You want it to stop raining but you realize that we need the rain too.

So...

hey there all.. .say, this thread seems to have just the right amount of everything, in a balanced share.... :)

good and varired weather... it should rightly be called....

say, lynne... i remember when you first dropped in and mentioned about your husband/best friend... a very hard trail--your have turned it into a choice experience, now, and by having the proper attitude to trail-study and move on, for what life has for you to now work with .....

say, there lois, some of your post my get beyond me at times, on occasional, but i sure loved to hear about your farm and trees... and your insight as to nurse-stuff....

seems we have medicinal, in a two-fold way....

Ahhh, nice run/walk...endorphines replenished.

Neebee, You are Always a Sweet Heart....to everyone.
Truly, you are second to none!

Say Lois turned LEB...(?) We have had several good discussions together on ST.....my personal favorite was the pheromone - guy thread. I think either crimpie or happiegrrrl participated also. I did have to finally give up (per Karl B.) You were a Woodson Boulder I could not push up the hill, hehehe.

Tonight Divad gave us both a nice compliment re: sun and rain. But I get bored easily...I bet you do too. Could we agree to switch off. Somedays you are sun and I can be rain : }

Why thank you, Anastasia! Like Jay, I love storms...unless I'm climbing in one.

Which reminds me of that wonderful verse from Stevie Nicks' song Storms

So I try to say
Goodbye my friend
I'd like to leave you with something warm
But never have I been a blue calm sea
I have always
been a storm...

I think it's good for all of us to be storms once in a while...just for the sheer joy of it!

Don't you wish. ;-)

Actually, next we're going to be comparing killer margarita secrets and talking about the best climbing shoes and harnesses for women. Feel free to join in if you have any beta on that...or on bras, makeup and tampons...it's your thread (and a darn good one at that), you may lead it into any chasm you want...
