Hopefully Russ will show up with Sooze and the Joshua Tree contingent, and teach you wannabes a lesson you won't soon forget! :-)

That is, when you're not all busy making and eating sushi, picking up other people's garbage, attending the various evening events, socializing, etc etc etc.

Let's not forget climbing too. I plan to clean one day, climb another. C'mon it's freakin' Yosemite, man!!!

It's gonna be a busy trip that's for sure.

I think we need lawn darts too. It wouldn't be the same without a good blood letting.

But the thing is.... Gregg is certain to teach a few folks a lesson they won't forget. I've sat at a table with The Candyman. It's a good time.

PS: Gregg, probably no need for the original Mussy table. I'll devise a nice table cloth and we can use a fold out table or something.

Edit: Bwhahahaaahaha.... yeah Anders!!! what's up with leaving out the climbing part?!?!? ;-)

"etc, etc, etc"

I plan this year to be at the FaceLift and helping from about the 22nd right through the 28th. But will also take time off each day to smell the granite.

You'll be fine, Ken!

The supporting cast is there for you!! IF nothing else we can prop you up against a wall, put stunna shades over your (closed) eyes, manipulate your face into a smile, and form both of your hands into the "thumbs up" position.

We can't fake dancing with Crimpie for you though...

Wow, that's an amazing photo - it says "bear left at the fork", and indeed, if you go left, you see there's a bear. #46, maybe.

hey nature (doug), dont spill anymore of the candyman card shannanagins-
I wouldrather take em all by surprise.

hey flouride, ya gonna be there? it would be nice to share musical points of view again and you play the game as well as anybody.

thanks for the vote of confidance but im sure a good time will be had by all, even those not playing cards, it sounds to be crowded at the table. we might need a few tables , tournament style.

i know jingy will be there and if riley plays cards like he does the diet challange , he will be no problem.

hey radical, bring it, you two time winner, hey congrats on continuing the weight fight. im down but could loose some more for sure. looking forward to meeting you.

prod you making the trip from the midwest?

nature again -you need anything- you let me know, mm mm mm fresh ginger!

if anyone thinks the fish and sooze are going to be there, i will take that bet , they are not.

that guy is busy, so busy this time of year. hes done his time in yos , i think like ten years.

really looking forward to it

ken let me know how many different spots i will be at so i can plot it on my gps.lol

until then gentlemen and ladies , IM ALL IN.

Fish Finder,

You and family as the longest traveling participants will be in the same area as last year. Don't forget the chocolate.

All this talk of poker reminded me of that old joke. Liquor in the front. Poker....

See you there.

This Facelift thing sounds boring.
What's to do?
can we watch tv?
Throw water balloons at scuttle busses?
Whassup with all the fishy stuff too.

:)
dump post, but the thread is a good kick to get
it together. And keep it on top.

Perhaps we'll need name tags after all, on the first night anyway. Would that be too gauche?

Fish = Russ W (Joshua Tree)
Fishy = Swiss family, including Sabrina and Finn
Fish Finder = someone else (I didn't know his real name was Gregg)

FF - Got ya covered for the link... But some background first....

Back in 2000-01, I was at the Whiskey Creek in Bishop and I had recently been introduced to this dude named Russ Walling. I was apparently cool, because of some comments I had made to this guy who was wanting Fish to Comp him some gear so he could head up some big wall ascents. But he had no resume, so I thought he was joking... turns out he was serious.

Anyway, I'm sittin' outside on the deck, enjoying the fresh Bishop air, got a few friends around, when the subject of my new job comes up. A tell, then Russ says.. "Yeah... That's cool... Yeah, we can call you Jingular... We'll shorten it to Jingy... Yeah, Jingy!"

It stuck!

So, I don't know if Russ knew the song existed (song was recorded in 1999, but he could have heard it once, remembered it, spotted just the right schlepp for a catchy nickname, sprung it on'em, then sat back and waited for the unsuspecting fool to stumble across the song while hanging with friends in a million dollar townhouse in Mammoth? That guy's a mastermind if that's the case, but I digress...

So, without further ado... Catch the song about me, or a monkey with my name.... Artist is Bob Schneider, Album is Lonelyland (How ironical) and the other songs on the album are pretty cool too. C-Man kept mentioning that he opens for Dave Mathews, who is no slouch himself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0qZnPWcCbQ

I still have the song on my iPod, it's in the shuffle with another 558 kick azz tunes.

Cheers to all

P.S. Got an email from the guy who did the video on You Tube. Says it was a class project and not an officially sanctioned Bob Schneider produced thing... also, Bob himself says that after he recorded the song, it was a real hit for 10 year olds... Go figure!
