Lynne - were you hugging to the mid-line? :-)
To do the one-armed balance you go into your hand stand. You then spread your legs a little bit. You have to hug to the mid-line with your inner thighs while at the same time creating resistance to that hugging with the outer thighs. Shift your weight to the side you want to balance on. I come up to finger tips with hand I'm going to pick up. You have to get your center over your shoulder and wrist. Be sure to claw the floor with your hand. You'll feel it when the foundation sets and even if you only pick up your hand a little bit that's a lot. It's a hard pose.
Oh and remember to keep your tailbone tucked. The focal point is the base of your heart in this pose so extend out from there.

His legs are spread too far.
After you are done with that I'll meet you in downward dog. Bring the right leg forward and well work on Eka Pada Rajakapotasana I.

The trick to this pose is inner body bright.

That would be interesting. So... now that you are done working on Eka Pada Rajakapotasana I let's move to some arm balances. Eka Pada Koundinyasana II from Bakasana.
While you do that I'll eat my french toast made with free range eggs and covered in agave syrup.

I'm not a chef. I'm a web developer. And I'm probably a lot funnier when I type. Or maybe I'm just funny lookin'...
So in a couple weeks the vegan pizza will turn to raw vegan pizza when I start a raw foods cleanse. The raw cookies are pretty damn good too.
And Lynne... you do realize he means Hippie Lettuce, yes?
Ok, I'll meet you in downward dog. Time for some twists. It'll help detoxify the GI. Pasasana is a good place to start.

Set the foundation and open to grace.
After that more organic energy, inner spiral, and kidney loop. Keep the shoulder blades on the back body, fill into the kidneys, and don't hyper extend your knees.

I am drinking Bandit 2005 Pinot Grigio www.threethieves.com (instead of Pinot Noir b/c I grabbed the wrong thing)... pouring it from its juice box container into my Curious George glass... wishing that a berkeley soy cheese pizza would fall into my lap... regretting that I didn't pick one up on the way back from pulling plastic (badly).
