Paul, your purple flowers are Shooting Stars (Dodecathion?)
Neveneve, cool insect shots. The bees appear to be Syrphid flies
(aka bee flies)
Does anybody remember which kind of mimicry this is?

Thanks, I wasn't sure what they were for sure. Given the crush of people buying SLR's I might get a real camera off someone who uneedingly joined the herd.

Paul,
Nice shots of the shooting stars...and your son in the lupine made me smile.
The Bee-Imposters were beautiful, too. What are you shooting with if not an SLR, Nev?

Dah boys on the way in or was it on the way out. For some reason I can't remember. I do recollect it was summer.

As usual, awesome shots Bob and all!
Some random wildflower shots.
Black Oak Buds in Sequoia Park
Something tiny and blue at Sequoia
I’ve always called these Snowflowers. Anyone know what they really are? (common name only, I’d never remember the scientific name!)
An opened Snowflower.
Ok this is from the Spring (cheating…)

Thanks for the additions, Paul, Eric, Dave, Cyndie, Joe...
Dave, the snowflower is called Snowflower. Really.
Great shots of the Black Oak buds. This is the same Oak that is
in Yosemite Valley. I've always liked the red buds turning into
green leaves.
Not a live oak, though. Live oaks (grab bag term) are evergreen.
