Stinkeye- If I am to assume that you're referring to me as "mild one" what it is that I'm right about? I'm no mole-whacking moderator. I wrote the cautionary note to locker because I could see where it was going (as could anyone not half-retarded) and could see that it would end with people getting banned. I kept expecting it to disappear with a self nuke, but it just kept growing. I couldn't believe that the posters were acting out of something other that self immolation of sorts....

Noooooooooooooooooooo! The other real tragedy is losing Haeres! I really liked that Frenchie! Hopefully they'll be given a second chance. I'm just honored I made my contribution of "Nut Sack Mary" that Locker seemed to really enjoy...my pleasure mate! Sad to see the "Climber's Forum" go, but maybe I'll get some work done here at work.

If this site posted just climbing threads, I'd fall asleep halfway through the thread list.
I'll venture a thought that the ladies on this site are far more offended by the crudities some post against them during various discussions as opposed to the pictures posted on the "evil" thread.

Most of Locker's posts were cheese cake, except I didn't see that last you all refer to, so maybe I'm out on a limb here.
Others posted the full nudes, which still were not in bad taste. Now, Locker did start the tread, but he can't be responsible for what other people post in it.
For the most part, that thread was fun, and a lot more interesting than the usual tired, dead, beaten to pulp climbing pablum of "What's the best rappel knot?" or "What's the best shoe?", or "What's the best rope", and last but not least, the "Hey, Looky here, I done climbed something!" threads.
Someone brings up the business aspect of this site, and as I have in the past bought at least one book from ST, I feel I have some weight to throw, although it's a very small weight.
I'm offended that others who are much more disgusting have been left to ply their crap while Locker is banned.

Hey Locker, Why the angst? Why were you pushing the envelope? You had to know that you would get busted, yet I must say that I dont agree with the punishment.
Send out a warning and whack the thread but eternal banishment is just sooooooooo Christian. (that ought to fire up this thread)

Hello to all! I am here, Haeres, but I was ejectulated from supertopo with not even the nice note that Mr. Locker posted from supertopo. Nothing for me, not a warning or question of my pictures.
Ejectulated! Yes, all the way! All of me too! I will not agree because I am French and we love women! But no more of the photographs from me, I will only bring the politics threads from now on, for to compliance with supertopos purpose.
Has there been a 'save file' of that 'climbers thread,' there were many nice photographs there. For the nice people who missed my photographs, thanks you! Merci!

The "bottom" line is, the thread––despite the whining from the (few) puritans––would be rated "R" at most,
knott even NC-17. But that last pic Locker posted would be solidly X-rated, as it depicted anal-penetration.
At that point, the thread went from being a relatively mild one to something truly inappropriate and offensive.
And so there you have it...

This is purely a technical question; how do you pull the google cache version? I found the tread as of 5/9/08 (google search, supertopo, climbers forum, locker) but when opened the thread is blank.
I believe google refreshes their caches occasionally and loses previous versions (not sure). But isn't there somewhere where all history of internet posts are still available? anyone know where/how to find older stuff that has been deleted?
edit; oops, found it. way too overboard for me.
but doesn't being booted just mean you have to change your name and start again?

JAH! just pulled the google cache, and hafta agree w/ HK - that last post was SO over the top and SO OBVIOUSLY a violation, no warning needed. i'm not easily offended, and i'm not even offended now, but really now... punishment warranted.
nonetheless, i hope they let locker back someday, after he serves out a punishment

I just looked at the Photo in question. It shows a woman taking a dildo up the a*#. Locker in a way was breaking new ground as the bolters did on the SFHD.
I think his hand vagina was much worse.
