Sewellymon: Christmas Tree Pass? (grainy dummy domes..
Not much camping there, especially for a large group. Lots of casinos, though.
On the other hand, the festers would have it all to themselves for sure.

How about an Octoberfest. I'll go anywhere for good climbing and drinking beer with good people.

A handful of different people have been talking about/suggesting a trip/gathering in Montana.
Any thoughts?

If we wanted to mix the Gallatins in, they are about 1.5 hours away.

Maybe a new thread, indeed, Tom.
I would be available for practically any local support needed, including, but not limited too: area beta (climbing and camping), shuttling service, town to camp supply runs, et al.
An airport serves Butte that has a few carrier options.

Absolutely in for a Baba Bay Area Fest. Which weekend?
I could even make sushi if I'm not working that day.

It all looks good and the Gallatins look assume. I haven’t been in MT in seven years. I guess it is time to take care of the 7 year itch. About the same drive or less as Flag SF and less than JTree
Distance 789.7 Miles Time 11hrs 29 mins (approx.)Add several days for side trip to Devils Tower.

BabaFest is a bust?
Shoot, we'll get a net over him before long, cuz we know where he works. Then we'll raise a glass en masse.

I vote for a Baba fest. He has added so much to this forum and to the climbing community, well it just seems natural. Has anybody ever climbed with Baba and NOT had a great time? I think not.
Baba, leading on Central Cathedral doing his Indian accent, "Sh!t, I'm going to FALL, you damn b@stard! TAKE! TAKE! Goddamn!t, you SHORT ROPED me!"
Me, belaying, "So Karl, when you're in India, do you ever just fall into your "India Accent" routine?
Baba, calmly, "yeah, but they never notice."
Of course, he didn't fall.
