Thanks, Ammon. I appreciated your straight-uppedness. I do not think there is a single climber on this website who is more "straight up" than Ammon. Straight to the summit!

None of what I said was hearsay, as I was there to witness it, and was the recipient of the kiddie porn links you sent me via Private Message on rc.com. Furthermore... Nothing I have posted is "privilaged information" gained from my time as an Admin there, as if I could post that, this post would be longer than anything you have written... Untrue if his date is even close, as the pics you refer to were taken in the Fall of 2002 in Arizona, and uploaded a few months later. The pics you uploaded to the site are dated you dummy, so this shows just another one of your lies in an attempt to twist the truth.

Hi Adam -- long time no speak. Thanks again for taking the time to call me (way back when) and
giving me your version of events. People were wondering why I was "sticking up" for Pete.
In fact, if you check the Canadian Assassin thread, I wasn't exactly complimentary
in my early posts. I thought (and still do) think he's a kook. But based on the information
that I have, here's why I have to respectfully oppose the kiddie porn allegations against him.
The 15 year old girl should have taken screen shots of Pete's remarks, or at the
very least copied and pasted what he wrote. It's rather inconvenient (or convenient)
that she has forever disappeared without a trace--or any contact info.
What Pete told me he wrote doesn't match other versions I have heard.
If I remember correctly you were actually involved in that chat yourself.
It would make your case so much stronger if you had taken screenshots
or had archived the chat somehow. Anyone else who was in that chat could-have and
should-have as well. It's too bad they didn't -- it's pretty hard to dispute a screenshot!
Furthermore, In the PM where he allegedly sent you the kiddie porn links, what happened to the PM?
If I remember correctly, you said you deleted it immediately.
However, this seems odd, especially if you went straight to the FBI.
Instead of a he-said/she-said situation, you could have furnished them with some direct proof.
If you were worried about having porn-links on your computer,
you would have nothing to worry about, since you had already contacted the FBI.
Also, regarding the point about the date that the photos were shown in Curry Village, you are
quoting a less-than reputable source when you say: "someone in that thread".
Someone In That Thread is just another anonymous poster. This is heresay of the worst kind.
So, with all the Pete-slamming, I would say that much of it appears to be warranted.
But as far as the child-porn stuff goes, I have to give him the benefit of doubt,
since you failed to capture or document any of it. It would have been really easy for you to have done so.
So while I'm not calling you a liar, I would venture to say that it doesn't pass
the muster of *beyond a reasonable doubt*.
It really is a case of he-said/she-said. And a bunch of people repeating it
doesn't make it any more valid; there are way too many people passing
this info around as the gospel.
Again, Pete might indeed be an idiot, kook, and danger to the climbing community.
But I simply do not believe the child-porn stuff based on what's been presented.
(by a single person whose integrity has been the subject of much public debate)
I know for a fact that pete comes-on to a whole bunch of grown women;
sometimes successfully -- most times not. But that's another story.
(Wow, I just managed to make a fairly long post without mentioning internet bitches!)

Ok Pete....I give you some credit. But not much. You’re REALLY fish’n on this one. But I give you credit. Disco Stu is Mark Stroeve. As you were trying to be soooo clever. Its nice to see that you took the time to track down IP addresses...But let me fill you into some things here while you try to pound your chest at me.
1. The only person you could ever sue would be Adam Bingle. You personally showed me the pics at curry village when you were racking up for lunar eclipse. You had boxes @ camp5 as well in the lot. You showing me the pics and me calling you, a pervert is my OPINION. Not slander. Anyone who would show me pics like that is in the same category in my book. It was in Aug. 2001 that you showed me those pics. So you have met me Pete.... we also meet at the base of Gulf Stream, and Eagles Way. Gave you a ride as well back to curry village before you started Eagles Way. Had bear boxes almost next to each other in CV. Spent time listening to your whinny voice with Wess in CV as well. Again my opinion.
2. My Opinion of you clogging up routes, trashing El Cap, being a whinny little wall bitch is my own opinion as well. Again Im entitled to my perspective of you. All of which if they let you into the country next year we can talk about. My problem with you is personal. Something that we will probably never resolve in our life. You trying to sue me over those opinions are as valid as Melissa suing you over the same thing that you wrote about her in the thread. Do you really want to go there Pete?
3. Adam Bingle is the only person again you could ever possibly sue. The comments that he made were Slander and he is willing to take you to court to prove them. Or disprove them in your train of thought. But since you already were removed from a climbing site for allegedly making inappropriate comments to a young female, your credibility doesn’t have a lot of merit to stand on. But again he’s willing to gamble his job, and two houses. What’s your gamble Pete? He’s the one not f*#k’n around. I am.
4. My opinion of you is just that. The thread was started by me telling you to piss off. You bag on some girl for her ascent of the Zodiac. But not someone else. So my issue with you Pete is a personal one. Your lack of being humble and just an out right ass to a majority of the community is B.S. But Im not better in that way. I let you get to me finally. And I should do what everyone should do...ignore you. What came of the rest of it are your peers and the community. Again it’s their opinion. As well as them calling you all the names they do and whatever else. But you can’t sue anyone for their opinion Pete. Again go back to #3.
5. If you’re really intent on pursuing this Pete, make 100% sure that you will win beyond a shadow of a doubt against Adam. If you want to try me then again there are plenty of people that would come forward. Through a series of a supena and such they would have to testify to the allegations that have been made against you. And since my climbing partner is a prosecuting attorney in the town that I live then no worries for me. If you pursue it and it costs me time from work you will pay restitution for my time. Which what I do for a living, Im not cheap. I stated my opinion of you. Nothing more, nothing less. No different from the opinion you have of Melissa.
6. You should have listened to Erik Kohl when he told you to bail Pete. I have no intentions of editing any posts, nor deleting them. I have made copies of what has been written if you really want to go there. But again refer to #3 and #5. I have stated my personal opinion of you. You trying to sue me over that is again as valid as Melissa suing you over your comments. People have their opinion’s Pete. It seems to be more negative than positive. The thread will fade in time. But Im entitled to my opinions. The sad thing is that you wouldn’t let go. rrrAdam called your bluff. You’re just trying to fish for me. Which Pete I hope you had a good fishing trip. But the only thing that has changed is me telling you who I am. I don’t give a crap. You are a very small fish in this ocean.
So my furry little foreigner you should put in a piece, lower off, and climb something else. The thread has gotten boring after what some people wrote.

a little late here, but, here goes. I'll settle perhaps one question re: "And the whole Melissa/Michelle thing."
Melissa is blond, I am not. Melissa is a nice person and I am not too nice. Melissa actually climbs, while I spend more time bushwhacking and complaining about it (or drinking) searching for crags with nothing harder than a 5.8. I doubt Melissa would resort to violence against Pete even if she wasn't busy climbing; I, on the other hand, WOULD provide the public service (for a fee, of course) except that I'm too busy avoiding him. Melissa has done noteable classics in the Valley this year, I have done, uhm, I think maybe one, oh, maybe two, and it wasn't that notable and a bunch of new climbs on Sonora Pass (you guessed it, no harder than 5.8). I believe Melissa strives to acheive goals and meets most of them, where I strive to become content with my climbing mediocrity since I'm lazy.
etc. I now have to go to work in retail hell, and I hope Melissa is out doing something fun!
