Reluctantly I have concluded that President Trump is a serious threat to US national security. He is refusing to protect vital US interests from active Russian attacks. It is apparent that he is for some unknown reason under the sway of Mr Putin.

McCabe was fired upon the recommendation of career FBI personnel (not political appointees) for lying his ass off, repeatedly, including under oath.
And Sesssions saved us taxpayers a lot of money by making sure we don't have to pay the inflated pension of some lying jerk.
Not a big fan of Magoo, but he did the right thing here. (And as I understand it no recusal was necessary as the firing was for McCabe's repeated lying, not for any other reason, but that seems like a fine point.)
