Just to be clear on this...

What EXACTLY is the crime? Is it a crime like Ouch (or myself!) commits, unlawful use of a copyrighted image(s), or is it some other crime to type in a public URL into a form field? Did "eastside" commit the crime, or the end use XXX site that extracted all the images? Is it a crime in Russia or wherever the server is located? Will "eastside" now "face the music"?

Are the "exploited" women (and men) feeling even dirtier now that *actual* pervs are eyeballing them rather than just SuperTopo DSB victims™™™™?

Please advise.

Side note: rough deal on that Granny thing..... yowzaa!

I don't think a "crime"® has been commited. But a good ass kicking/sucker punch to the schnaz is in order.

Well, guyz who think it's no big deal that some of the women who post here have had some loser post their pictures on a porn site.....

Suppose your own grandmother-in-law saw your own pictures posted on some porn site about men? Maybe you have a picture of yourself bouldering and your boxers are peaking out above low-slung jeans. It is of you sending a local testpiece and you're proud of the picture, because it shows your efforts. The fact that your undies are showing is secondary, even if you are aware that some of us ladies are going to think "oh, I do like a boy with boxers....". And that picture is now positioned next to a possibly similar looking guy, in tight CK's with an obvious erection(let's make it obviously "stuffed", for extra imagery), leaning back, his hand carressing himself, and looking into the camera as if....

Or someone got a shot of you in a tangle of ropes on a wall - hot, sweaty, tousled hair and face/bare chest smudged with dirt. And now it's on a porn site with a bent toward bondage.

Still okay with it? Wondering why grams, who used to just adore you, now seems to be uncomfortable around you?

I’ve submitted my own photo to at least a dozen different porn sites but so far no takers. I keep getting the same boilerplate BS response about animal cruelty and bestiality laws in California, yadda, yadda, yadda…

Personally I could care less if my photo was pasted on a gay porn site with a midget foot fetish flare, but that’s just me. And my wife’s g-ma? Well that’d be the icing on the cake!

I cast my vote for comedy!

Funny how the ones that typically get offended the most are those who’ve got NO chance of anyone ever linking their photo to a porn site.

Where’s Gloria Allred when you need her?

Well if I had a nickel for every joke that's blown up on me I'd have about $69,420.85. And cracking jokes doesn't NECESSARILY mean that I don't care about photos of people from this site being ganked and linked to places where nasty old vaseliners masturbate.

If Jerry or his wife, or his great-googling-grandma for that matter, would like my comments removed I'd be happy to oblige.

This is as serious as I am capable of being.

Jerry,

Did you get the IP address of the "eastside" user from the porn site's admins?

Happy- I totally agree with you. It's creepy. And he did post photos of a guy bouldering, right along with the shots of women.

I did not get his IP address. Think they will give it to me?

I FYI'd another photographer whose images were there also. I'd be horrified if a friend or model I'd worked with found shots I'd taken of them on a website like that. In fact my model release states that images will not be used for pornographic purposes, so that makes me liable to make sure they don't end up there.

The web site did NOT steal the images to use for financial gain, they were linked to by a user. So no law that I can think of, other than a moral one, has been broken.

"b.com strikes again"

uh, trust me, if anyone from b.com had a hand in it they'd be insisting on getting full credit for it. plus, the crap we pull over there is so over-the-top the incident in question here would not even be worth our trouble. no, this has to be the work of some amatuerish supertaco type. at b.com, it's 100% prime-time pro leagues. this is the work of some small-potatos wannabe.

Jerry,
It sounds like you are on top of informing other photographers about similar links but if you see any of my shots on this despicable website please let me know as soon as possible.
thanks,

WTF? Child porn!

Linking photos from Girls of Climbing is one thing, but phuck that! Anyone involved even peripherally needs an ass-whooping.

WTF is b.com?

To be honest, I hadn't looked in-depth at the content of the site. Child porn? I wish google and such would flush that link and any reference to my site/name out of their cache.

h-B, didn't see any of your photos, at least not posted by this guy.

Jerry,

F*#k yeah they should give you the guys ip address. If they don't threaten them with a lawsuit. I'm not law enforcement dipsh#t, but their are certain basic laws in this country that protect good people. Maybe you could even get a climber lawyer to take your case pro-bono. Imagine what judge thinks when you tell them your mother's mother found about this.

This site (and all other intardnet sites) ride the backbone that pr0n built, I'm not sure why anyone is suprised by this.

And beeveebee's right, this wouldn't even register as a hiccup at b.com.

I'm just happy to see that the publishers of "Hot Belayer" magazine do not apear to be impicated in this horrific act.

By the way Nevercaught, I think that one sheep in your picture may be one of my former girlfirends. It's creeping me out.

BTW, the notion of climbing pictures of fully clothed people on a porn site seems very very strange.
