I'll be with you guys in spirit and if you don't mind my lurking. I'm too small (height) to drop 10 but the winter doldrums, working too much and getting lazy have left me with an extra 5 or so I'd love to see gone. Started by stopping obvious sugar intake ( a week now) except for some red wine. If I restrict my diet (type of food too much) I become traumatized!! For me better to reduce portions and move more. It'll help that daylight savings hits next weekend. I get really affected by darkness at 5:00 pm and always feel like I'm in hibernation mode that time of the year.

A little off subject but do any of you use a standing desk? Thoughts? Thinking about getting one since my work is in an office and I have to be at computer and on phone a lot.

The person in resource management office uses one as well as the secretary in the YOSAR office including the Valley medical clinc.

They really like them because the desk adjusts to sit or stand very quick.

You stand or sit according to your desire at any time or circumstance .....

10 is just too much for me to shed in a month. (Height here, too--that's 8% of my body weight.)

But the snow is melting here and I've got my eye on a whole lot of routes this summer.

I would be willing to play WITH NO CHANCE OF WINNING, but would pony up $10 for each pound less than 5 lost.

That seems reasonable.

My scale is angry at me.

Sooze is a maybe and a week out.

Thoughts on starting tomorrow? I'm leaning for tomorrow.

If we don't start tomorrow that means I just ate all those carbs for nothing... and I was really looking forward to the apple cake and maple ice cream :/

I'm in but it's too embarrassing to provide details. I've a new screen
saver of the Matterhorn but I'm afraid the North Face isn't going to be
sullied by my presence this year. I am determined to get the little lady
up the Breithorn, though. LOL The Mittellegi Ridge might be within my grasp.

I'm in, though 10 is maybe not necessary. Good to have a project though - too much time sitting in trucks and planes for the past 3 weeks. No scale available until Tues morning, which is a bummer as I've just come back home (India) and start shedding pounds as soon as I hit the ground here.

You lucky guys/gals. I couldn't put on weight if I was locked up in a pizzeria for a month with nothing to do but eat.

Morning weigh-in complete. We going for it today? I'm starting! If it means a reset next week I'll just eat a few tubs of frosting or something.

You're all fat and old. Except Donini who is whip-tough and still under 18.

I already did 7.13 miles this morning in a reprieve between storms.
It was a run/hike/shuffle kind of thing. I know Goretex is supposed to be breathable but I had some sauna moments...oh boy two birds with one stone.

Let's. Do. This.

I'm weighed in and it's not a pretty sight. my goal is 12lbs.

With mixed success i've used an app called Loseit.

we're going fishing and it's a good hike in and especially out.

My name is Jon and I'm a foodie, I mean fatty.

At my current weight I feel like I could twist and stack multiple sport climbers into creative shapes. In this I am a complete hypocrite as I aspire to climb hard steep stuff in a much lighter version of myself. ;)

Good luck all with the challenge!

Yikes! Good thing we're doing this, my 183 became 189.6 while I wasn't looking.
