Roch (or English spelling Rock). French spelling is better. Was a name we considered if we had a boy.

got to consider the baby shower swag..

Fish Lopez

on a slightly more serious note.

name him after some of climbings and the tacos luminaries.

Bachar, Gill, Long, Stannard..

John Lopez

:-)

two main things to consider with that name. when I was in school, every class had at least 2, and sometimes 3 or 4. Its also slang for the toilet. Though that builds character.. heh heh

Don't forget the middle name.

John Fish Lopez.. ;-)

My son's given name is Ford which was not a rare name before Ford automobiles were around. He's named after a great uncle of mine. He's never hated the name but I wouldn't say he always liked it. When he was little he said he wanted to have the name Chris so I said we can change you name if you want but he never said he wanted to. He has used the nickname Chevy off and on. Now that he is 20 something, I think he's OK with it but says he wouldn't drive a Ford car if you gave it to him.

My grandmother (Great uncle Ford's sister) had lots of kids and exponentially more grandkids. She always said that babys should be given names that are easy for kids to pronounce and spell which does not explain why she named my mom Phyllis.

Congratulations. Way to go!

How about Dan Jr?

That way, when Mom is calling your name, you and your son can both ignore her assuming she's talking to the other Dan.

If it's a live underwater birth, call him Bob.

If it's a surprise delivery in a hot tub, Stu.

If he just falls out onto the floor like a Pollock painting, Art.
