Excellent thread! BVB distilled how focusing attention of a few square meters of rock can generate memories that last a long time:
No matter where am, I can huck a lap on them in my mind

Some personal favorites: Sunshine wall at Whipp's Ledges, OH; Gunsmoke and Pigpen in Josh; the boulders at Lover's Leap, and the Putah Creek boulders (CA).

THis is currently my favorite thread to drool over. My favorite problems are all ones I don't hurt myself on; doesn't really leave much of a selection. I don't have much flexability any more so anything I do I need to know I can do it. But I do like to explore and this is a recent find near my folks place in the mountains of AZ. Most the stuff here is above my pay grade, but this 5.8 crack was just waiting for me.

Regarding John's mention of Teflon at Rubidoux, here is a great video he made for Adidas with some young boulderers climbing Teflon and Autopilot.

http://vimeo.com/98184304

Autopilot is one of my favorites. John and I had worked on it one day, but neither of us would commit to the high ball finish. I came back a few days later, got it, and couldn't wait to tell John. So I called him up.

"Remember that problem we were working on at Rubidoux? Well, I went back and did it."

He laughed and said,

"Well, Ricky, I am not sure who did it first, because I went back and got it too!"

John also mentioned So High at Joshua Tree. Check out another Adidas video of a top French climber using So High and other Josh highballs as therapy to clear his head so he can get back to "crushing " in the World Cup Competition.

Hardest V5 at the milks?

I dunno Jefe, but if that's the Bachar Lieback problem or whatever they call it, it's a contender. The other problem on that face ain't no giveaway either.

You know, I was thinking of problems that I'd mention in this thread, and though it doesn't get much love, Iron Man kept popping into my head.

+1 for Iron man. Great shot Craig. Bill Freeman snapped a killer photo of my old man cranking that thing that found its way into Rock & Ice in the early 90s. Dad was stoked.

I was climbing the Diamond Man a few years ago. Typical beach scene, kids and dogs running around and soccer balls whizzing by. My feet cut at the crux and I bent my knees to avoid the dreaded Sand Dab, but still felt something soft... and heard a little yelp. I'd booted some lady's dog, she gave me an earful when I got back down. Good times.
