Those Bugattis were the best, although my friend's Xenia tops 'em all.
For those of us on a shorter financial leash it's time to send in yer
deposit for something waaay classic!
You know you want one!

Since the last Land Rover Defender rolled off the production line today I'm going to give props to the last "real 4x4 Land Rover made.
Here is a shot of my 1988 Defender 130

Batrock, I just got back from France where we drove around Alsace and the Vosges Mts.
It seemed like there was an 80's Land Rover in every driveway there, sometimes two!
I'm thinking of going back and buying 'em up to ship over here. Probably wouldn't make
much, would I?

We drove into the tiny Eastern Washington town of Winthrop for dinner during a few days of climbing in Washington Pass a while back. Parked in front of the restaurant were four Ferraris and a De Tomaso Pantera.
Never did figure it out. Nobody in the restaurant looked like they'd arrived there in a Ferrari...
Wish I had pictures.

Probably not worth the hassle but I am sure you could find buyers fairly easily over here. I have had a few people offer me 3-4X what I paid for mine 15 years ago. If i were not so attached to it I might consider selling it. I also have a 2015 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited that is way more comfortable and has A/C that I drive daily now so i should consider selling the Rover but I just can't bring myself to part with it.

Cars have always held my attention and for my entire life I have been torn between racing cars or rock climbing.
If I won the lotto we would work on turning a big pile of cash into a little pile of cash via some sort of Race Car.
I have always loved Porsche, they are the last company that will sell you a real Race Car with plates.
And Cragman.... pretty nice ride, I had Alan Rudolph driving while I rode shotgun in one of those, we did 5 fast laps at the track... I was impressed! A Corvette that stays flat through the "S" turns... amazing - finally a USA car that can do that.
