Unlike Ranger School, BUD/S, GB and DELTA courses entail the instructors doing everything in their power to make you .... Quit! The entire course in ways that would make most of you here gag and call them racist, sexist etc.
War has NO rules. Sees no color or gender or .... political correctness.

Lol! Speak for yourself. Oh I guess you just did :-)
The wife of a behavioral anthropologist agrees with me, after proving to me that she doesn't know about behavioral anthropology by saying that she believes in research that doesn't exist. Isn't her agreement evidence in support of my belief? Hell I'm an adventurous manly intelligent climber type so I'm just sure it is, and I'm prepared to insult you to prove that it's so! It's like, everything I believe supports what I believe.
Sure if you status quo folks say so :-) Me I'm on a different track.
Yea sycorax, pretty much my daughter asks for me, but ok, I can see why you'd believe that.

That Warbler is one of the issues that affects that "thinking aspect" I was referring to. I know that from experience from the six courageous females that I had under my supervision.
Unfortunately for them, the monthly process that they have no control over, will not be figured into the equation during BUD/S training. Especially during Hell Week. There will be NO special considerations implemented. Having to do what a women needs to do during that "period" of time will not be allowed if it occurs during Hell Week. That then will put that female student in physical danger. Giving a female special consideration during Hell Week will certainly compromise the standard training protocols of BUD/S and what will ensue down the road as an SPECOP Operator.
And that aspect is being heavily weighed at this very moment by the JOCS's.

Every Week at BUD/S. You can't have anything in your system. Not even any over the counter supplements etc. Nada, Zero, or you are instantly Med Dropped. No questions asked.

Pretty damn close Werner, pretty damn close.
They monitor your blood/O2 levels etc for more reasons than trying to boot your ass. It is all part of the training. We had two dudes get NPQ'd from my class early in 3rd Phase for issues that the Dive Med folks saw in their blood. Something to do with O2 and Nitrogen mixture levels during Dive phase.
I was NPQ'd Dropped two days prior to graduation (week 26...the worst day of my 24 year career) due my pulmonary/cardio system 02 levels were below acceptable criteria my last three weeks of Dive 3rd Phase training due to my ASD repair surgery when I was 12 y/o. All systematically followed by the physiological testing they do on the students on a regular basis during Dive Phase etc.
Dive Phase was an uncontrollable killer of hopes and dreams for lots of dudes in the program, physiologically wise. That is why they changed it from (3rd Phase to 2nd Phase) the last portion of the 26 week training, to right after Hell Week.
Thus just another example how "being muscle bound" means little in these programs.

But, this study just released tells the tale of reality and a fact of life...
that wasn't a study, it was a report from this report:
http://www.marinecorpstimes.com/story/military/2015/09/07/grunt-life-marines-dish-corps-women-combat-experiment/71632666/
which states that "...Marine officials are expected to make data and findings collected from the task force experiment public in coming weeks..."
My Bad..
But this REPORT of a study which the USMC recently completed tells the tale of reality and a fact of life.
Is that better Mr. H.
Eastman...
The amount of characters on the title of a new thread is limited. Maybe if you did some TR's etc, you'd know that.
Had I been able to fit it all in as I wanted, it would have read....
Why Females won't make the cut in the SPECWAR OPS Community Training Courses.
There... now it's the "real deal".

Until woman get implants to control their limbs and their minds, probably not going to be as effective...in general. Specific females will excel of course. Maybe more females in the policy positions to stop these silly unnecessary dramas called war, may be more appropriate.

At the same time they will stop the human impulse to fk, desire more money, higher education, a better cell phone etc etc etc.

Since the subject of that pesky "the monthly process that they have no control over" came up I'd like to point out that it's been shown that if a women's body fat level goes below a certain point, that monthly process gets disrupted. No more process. No need for testosterone supplement or other drugs/hormones/et al.
I'm curious if women who have achieved an extensively strenuous physical standard even HAVE a regular 'monthly process'.
That being said, it probably wouldn't make a difference. Women are still crazy whether they are bleeding or not.
I do believe that in the case of the SPECOPS Community, holding women to a different standard, physical or otherwise, then men is a Bad Idea. Part of me wishes that it wasn't a gender issue. When a guy gets cut because he was too weak, it's because he was too weak. When a woman gets cut because she's too weak, it's becomes because she's a woman. Does a gay guy who's too weak get cut because he's too weak? or because he's gay? Does it really matter? Too weak is too weak, right? But I'm an idealist and idealism has exceedingly little place in SPECOPS.
It does occur to me that a transgender person will never 'make it', if nothing else because all the drugs they have to take.
I can only thank the stars that the recreational climbing community doesn't have the same stringent standards as the SPECOPS community.
Thanks for sharing and...
Cheers

No one gets "cut for being too weak" at BUD/S.
A student has to quit (Ring Out) under that premise. And the Instructors will do all in their powers to see that one does. Trust me.

Various types of Vaginal Infections Scrubbing B's that a female can contract before, during and directly after her menstrual cycle.
The Mud Flats and the Pit are amongst some of the "obsticles" that are prime environments for such issues during Hell Week and the rest of 22 weeks of training after Hell Week.
Copious liquid shets are not affected by those environments. They just add to the flavor of them.

Fair Play Chief.
The non-military idealist in me still wishes that quitting, 'Ring Out' as you say, was about quitting, rather than gender.
Heh, so many reasons I did well to take my mom's advice to never try to make a career in the military.
Cheers

It's the mannerisms that are utilized by the Instructors to motivate a student to ... Quit, that most here will find very disturbing to say the least. The no holds language and screaming in your face etc can get rather brutal.
