If all of this seems terribly unfair you might ask yourself why those who are now persona non grata got the boot? Why are they gone and horrible SOBs like me, having never been banned, booted, censored or frozen are still here?

Bummer, Ron added some diversity here. He took more insults than anyone and did it well for the most part. Something positive might be that Ron's stalkers might post less to this forum now. Probably not.
The cool thing about Jim Brennan is he is the same in real life. Uses his brain and has strong opinions, but respects other people's views.

I'm sorry Ron is gone. He was not anywhere near as rude as a number of people who still post.
And deleting all of his posts....what a way to run/ruin a forum! Its stunning.
Just like when Bruce Kay was booted - so much invaluable CLIMBING content gone forever. Both Ron and Bruce have done a lot, and were first person sources of information and history, which they often shared here.
edit - thinking about what is gone... lots of Tahoe climbing history, DanO stories...outrageous to delete this.
