Totally amazed at the climbing communities awesome abitity to come together to help out;....it's fantastic. Thank you so much! We are off to a great start. Keep the ball rolling, and keep the funds and donations and ideas for sharing and reaching our goal. Be creative, step up, and pull through! ..we got this;......I am so psyched!........

Also...if you have any climbing gear, guidebooks, climbing stuff, climbing collectables, climbing clothes, climbing artwork.......send it to me;...as soon as I get it, then I can post it and start organizing stuff and price it, etc...and then you can see what we got to sell and offer to reach our goal. Pitons, cams, stoppers, ice gear , guidebooks, big wall stuff;...anything that has to do with climbing;....we can sell and the $ will go directly to Tom........mail any climbing stuff to Todd Gordon P.O. box 138 Joshua Tree, CA. 92252.........we ALL have gear to donate;.....

Thanks for the kind words, Cam;..and I appreciate our friendship...my friend. I like to help and give back to the climbing community. Baseball been very very good to me. Most people like to help. For all the "jerky" things that are said on the internet (and...believe it or not, on supertopo too...), ......when it's time for climbers to "step up to the plate:...they really do come through;.....it's a very proud and comforting thought to know that the climbing community really cares and will come through big time. This post is about that giving spirit and the desire of climbers to help out friends like Tom Gilje when they need a helping hand;.....it's amazing and wonderful, and I am proud to be a part of this community.

Looks like I'll be out of town, way out of town, that week. The only week this spring (this year, actually) that I have something booked, flights and everything. Damn.

This sounds like a fantastic get together. Met Todd just a few weeks ago, what a great guy, living at J-Tree ground zero, the epicenter of Joshua Tree and the amazing group of people who have climbed and hung out there over the last three decades. Todd is alway happy to help others.

Ran into Tom a few times in Moab, while visiting Eric Bjornstad. Tom is a super nice guy. It's tragic, unthinkable what happened.

I'm sending a check your way, and a couple Desert Towers books to sell.
