I've always thought of tele skiers as slalom gates... only more stationary..
You're safe for now Wilbeer, 'cause now I got someone else's arse that I'm gonna kick first.
Who else here has dropped chutes or faces in the Sierra on 3-pins? I've done U-Notch, Mountaineer's Route, Thunderbolt Couloir, N Face of Whitney and NW chute of Little Lakes Peak.

Nobody cares that You Telly is the antidote to the rediculous sense of overblown pride that many telle skiers get from sking on stupidly expensive high technology equiptment.. WTF? I telle and nordic but its just sking fer christs sake. many of these people think they are the second comming of christ just because they telle.....

Teleskiing is a dead end. The whole world (including norway) except North America it seems has realized that randonne is much better at everything.
Free heal skiing is for groomed tracks and backcountry trips in easy terrain when you want to go light with waxed skies and don't care about the downhill sections.
The future is also to skate with really light skate skies in the mountains when the snow is really hard. It works very well on everything except really step downhills if the surface is the right one and you can go really fast.

Yes i do live in VT, i do not even own alpine skies. I do telle or XC ski 100% of the time and i hate that f*#king sticker. the crew that sports those stickers are a bunch of pompus yuppies who think their sh#t smells like roses. It's just sking. it ain't no big fcking deal. Kind of reminds me of the 5.6 bumbly with a huge rack of tri cams and hexes who makes a big stink out of being a Trad Climber......

I am tempted to switch to AT gear.. Not shure if I would know how to ski it? I really like the telle boots for work comfort but the telle system absolutly sucks for takeing you skies on and off on steep icey race trails.

My short-lived downhill skiing life consisted of only tele. It was fun. If I had easier access to snow, I might still be doing it. Who cares how ANYONE skis? Tribalism is way stupid.
