The aforementioned question still stands, though:
Why do Dodger Haterz hate like they do?

I think you might be mistaking hate for pity....
Banter aside, I think Thocking spelled it out pretty thoroughly. Simple Google search takes you through history of this particular rivalry.
Fact is, some people take sports a little too seriously. The haters and the hated both.

KP, is there something wrong with your reading comprehension?
My query has been clarified twice already. It has nothing to do with team to team rivalry histories such as Giants-Dodgers. C'mon...try harder. Or stop trying.

It has everything to do with team to team rivalries. That said, I think I'll stop now. Your OCD on the subject is off topic anyhow.

Bump for the original thread. Dodger fans are as lame as the team they root for, could you even come up with an original name for your thread loser?!
Why all the hate for Dodgers? Well, because they are a rival and we won titles in the last 5 years. So we want to make sure you enjoy hearing about dodgers suckling as much as we like hearing about the Giants winning. Seems like a habit for the Giants - to win titles.

Not hate, just extreme dislike.
Beer and fine cutlery for sale at game.
Rhymes with the first one ;)

Why the extreme dislike, clinker?
Maybe you can provide a more articulate reason (whatever it is) than anyone else thusfar....
(besides simple Giants-Dodgers animosity)

Can someone exlplain why it's called "World Series" when only teams in the USA are involved?

apogee, this is all tongue in cheek. Your input as the Giants made this run shows that you have a lot of class and are a true baseball fan.
I was unaware that there are actual "Dodger haters". Just the random gangsters that are everywhere.

Thanks, clinker. I really do love baseball, and greatly enjoyed watching the Giants play...some really amazing players there.
"I was unaware that there are actual "Dodger haters"."
Seriously? I encounter them all the time, when someone asks which team I follow the most. It's weird, and I've never understood it.

Here's my take on the question..."Why is it called the World Series?" I agree that to the outsider it seems arrogant and provincial for Americans to call the final championship series of their favorite pass time, the "World Series." However, the teams that make up Major League Baseball (MLB) are not national teams but professional franchises with players from several different countries, including Japan, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela, South Korea, etc. For example, the starting lineup for the Giants in game 7 had Venezuelans playing 3rd and center, and a Dominican playing left. Their main closer, Casilla, is also a Dominican and one of their best relievers, Petit, is Venezuelan. I think it is safe to say that most of the best baseball players in the world are playing in the MLB because that is where they will be paid the most money.
If you are interested in learning about the desire for foreign nationals to play in the MLB, check out Yasiel Puig's story...

Here's an excerpt...
Finally, in June 2012, the 21-year-old outfielder (Yasiel Puig) left his home in Cienfuegos, on Cuba’s southern shore, and set off by car for the northern province of Matanzas, just 90 miles from Florida. He was traveling with three companions: a boxer, a pinup girl, and a Santeria priest, the latter of whom blessed their expedition with a splash of rum and a sprinkle of chicken blood.
