Perhaps Avery is a little more serious than some other New Zealandites.
The sheep jokes are strong in other cultures too. About 20 years back I overnighted in Jackson WY at the home of a friend that worked in a local fishing shop. The other guest was a New Zealand fishing guide.
During a long evening of drinking and story-telling, we discovered that our fairly large collection of sheep jokes were nearly identical.

To be brutally honest, J Tree, I've had a guts full of being the object of continuous piss taking. So, I made up my mind to return fire with fire.
I'm in a no win situation. If I say nothing I'm gutless if i fight back I'm accused of being a troll.
Th old Avery that everybody says is gone, is a direct result of constant insults, masquerading as humor.
Even if I threaten to delete it, I'm told that's not the thing to do.
Maybe the best thing to do is leave you all to yourselves.

The right answer is that there's no response to a troll.
The serious answer is to post content when you have it, don't post content when you don't. More importantly, when you do post content, don't defend it if it's attacked because you don't have to. If you have a reason to post something, that's defense enough. There's no winners or losers here or anywhere on the internet.
